Chapter 17 - The Trial I

Fuji only smiled at his cautiousness and the schemes of his necessities shined to the eye of Fuji.

Even if he wasn't the best in many things in the past, he was a master in scheming and enjoyed it to play with other humans. Cultivators may have the hammer to crash him, but the hammer can clash with other hammers or slam even itself.

In order to convince him of his uselessness, nothing much is needed, „I'm new to cultivation. She found me on the street and planned to signify her moralities as one of the elders for the clans glory. Your behavior is really insulting, Shou Yunru."

Shou Yunru blinked twice and let go of Fuji. He turned his back to him and told him in a serious tone.

„Follow me, we will fill your documents."

A wide wooden pavilion with two floors and a big gate as entrance, was the goal of their walk. Fuji observed the vicinity and the place filled all the corners with disciples.

In the area, Fuji was located at, the evened ground's material seemed to be rough stones and the outer area stretched with hundreds of pillars, supporting the second floor of the most houses, while walls sectioned off the complete area.

In the middle of the area, a humongous building with four floors pierced to the sky and all the disciples paid, but also behaved, their utmost near it.

The closer Fuji examined the little details, the more he realized the influence of religions. A white dragon was engraved into the polished stones in the walls. It was designed on multiple staircases or sometimes on the white pillars with wind blasts surrounding it. The white dragon was long with a big head, sharp teeth, two dominating eyes, two sharp curved horns and covered of big white scales.

Particularly, after he remembered the alley with the traditional looking houses, Fuji realized the architecture of the ancient chinese. The main architecture style divided into three types with the first being imperial buildings, traditional residences and the last, religious buildings.

It had many similarities with Japan. The japanese population prayed at shrines and the belief in other gods would be the only huge difference.

„Hey Juri, why can I read the handwriting of another language?"

>>With the system, you gained the intellectual ability to speak every language there exists and naturally, the writings as well<<

Fuji nodded and before he could ask further question, their walk halted.

„We are here."

Shou Yinru opened the door of the big gate and by entering, a big statue of a white dragon met the eye. It possessed a majestic aura around it and it emanated to different points in the middle. There, two stairs lead up to a edel wooden platform and 6 runes were scripted on the wooden platform. They glistened with pure snow-white air around it and Shou Yunru headed with Fuji behind in tow to it.

„Stand in the middle and we will begin.", once reached, he instructed him to be careful and not act recklessly. This can otherwise end with his death.

„Good, now we can start!", Shou Yunru stood on the right side of Fuji and motioned with his hands to the statue of the white dragon, while kneeling, „Raijin, the God of Lightning and Wind, I, a mere cultivator, came for a new occasion of a new inner disciple!"

*crack*

The statue of Raijin started to emanate an stronger aura than before and the whole room was wrapped in a white light. Everywhere Fuji gazed at, stretched to the infinity and he suddenly stood high in the sky with clouds materializing in the white air. The clouds thundered and swallowed the former shiny sky with hundreds of thundering clouds, forming in a second.

Fuji was astonished of the manipulations of the world and environment around him, but the runes still glistened strongly. The cold air froze every breath of Fuji and his body began to weaken. His bones shrunk to a thin size and his skin dried. The mix of pain stung his brain greatly, like a knife aimed at his stomach and stabbed multiple times.

„Is that you, Fujin?"

A ancient and dominating voice filled the ears of Fuji with painful sound waves and his mind hurt extremely.

Fuji looked around to find the source, but nothingness of infiniteness stretched in the far.

„Hmm, why are you here?"

The ancient voice questioned his appearance and the size of a white sun stared at Fuji from the sky.

„An elder of the Shou Clan brought me here."

*Bang!*

Multiple thunders hammered everything near Fuji and the view of this resembled a strong rainfall, but instead water, it was thunder striking down.

„These fools keep annoying me! I swear on myself..sigh.."

The white sun in the sky blinked once and readjusted it's iris to a white crescent form, while keeping the stare on Fuji.

„Say, what do you wish to receive? Is it the lust after power and techniques? Is it the greed after wealth and artifacts? Is it the anger after other cultivators or is it the envy of cultivators with prosperity?"

Fuji thought for a minute, until he twitched his lips and said in a serious tone, „It's the greedily lust of powerful cultivators filled with pride and angers me deeply, which I envy of them."

The white sun stared for several seconds and all of a sudden, powerful aura wrapped Fuji up, but instead pain, it was warmth and relaxing sensation.
