I knew the party was a great idea. I'm a great decision maker. I even got a quick squeeze from Kristen. God, I want her so bad. Freaking lights had to go out just as we were about to have the moment. I need to find Xavier and fill him in on the gossip. Come to find out Alexis has a huge crush on him. If he can land her I'll have a straight path for Kristen. The fools have been holding up in their room the whole time. I told him no shy stuff.
My phone's flashlight is just enough in the dark hallway. I can see the others stopping at the girls room. I only count five lights. I doubt any are Xavier.
"I'm telling you I heard something in the closet" Alexis is panicking
"Calm down it's the pills" Jordan says
I stop next to Brittany and Kristen. Jordan is across from us. He's the school's star point guard. Tall, black handsome, and sadly Kristen's ex. A real wrench in my plans.
"I'm not tripping something's in there" Alexis says
Kristen sighs " Jenny and Don are still inside your rooms next to hers it's probably them"
"Anybody seen Xavier" I ask
Everyone's eyes turn to Alexis who blushes.
"What don't look at me like that" waving her hands "we were in my room talking? He left to get some water right before the lights went out"
Brittany turns to Kristen "she gave him some"
"Yep" Kristen adds
Alexis gasps " You two are impossible"
I silently give my man some praise. And here I was counting him out. While out playing prankster he's been doing the damn thing.
"So he's still inside" Jordan asks
Alexis shrugs "If, so he's out cold he sounded like the perc was getting the best of him"
"Pills" I yell "Xavier never been high, shit he can't handle a Tylenol he's out cold if he took one"
I'm a little pissed about this. I push through the girls into the room. They shut the door behind me. I stop trying to remember the room. With my phone to the floor I move hoping to find Xavier. I can't say for sure but I know he wouldn't take those pills.
I scan the kitchen and don't find him. So I head for Alexis' room. It's the only door that's open. I trip on a bottle and land in her doorway. My phone bounces away and the light goes off.
"Shit" I grew
With no way of finding it I crawl forward. My hands feel like some clothes I think are a pair of panties. I toss them aside. I find a phone next. Flipping it on its Xavier's.
Suddenly the lights come on. Alexis' room is a mess. I see Xavier's shoes, socks and shirts. A few of Alexis's clothes as well. The closet door is half open, so I walk to it slowly. I swear I just saw a shadow move near it. Cautiously I get within arms reach. My hand touches the door.
"Wow"
I jump back a few feet and my heart is in my stomach.
"Calm down it's just us" Jordan says laughing
I'm shaking my head "Damn you got me"
Brittany is pointing at the bed and then to the panties "Hell of a conversation"
"Talked out of everything socks included" Jordan adds laughing
Alexis just shrugs. I only now notice she only has a sheet wrapped around her.
"Everybody can judge me however they choose but I had a great time, twice."
"Oh" Kristen says laughing
"Now get out" Alexis points at Jordan and I " I need to get dressed, so we can go"
"Go where," I ask, walking out with Jordan.
"To check the generator" He answers as the door closes behind us " I don't like that it didn't click on. Just need to be safe. That old pervert dwarf of a maintenance man is lazy"
As he is explaining I notice it on the floor. Just by the back door is Xavier's dreamcatcher. I pick it up gently. It's maybe the second time I've ever held it. I'm worried now. Xavier could leave his phone, wallet, shit me, but never go anywhere without this. As I'm holding it the lights go out again.
