The human-bat gave Zander a lazy eye. He dropped his small melon wedge onto the table and stood up.
At his height of a full twelve inches tall plus the height of the table, he was still quite short and had to look up at the tall imposing figure of the King of the Northern Realm.
The door behind Zander closed with a BANG!!!
"You squirrelly chiro." Zander narrowed his eyes, a dangerous glint hovering within the darkness of his pupils. "Your double dealing between me and my cousin Alastaire is going to come to an end today."
Quill stood still and regarded Zander with curious eyes. "If you're going to kill me, then do it. I don't have time for this back and forth nonsense."
"You don't get to dictate the terms, Quill." Zander hissed. "Your people destroyed my home and put my family in danger."
