"What?" He blinked.
The woman with the blonde hair laughed. "She said you have strange blue hair."
He retracted his face from her view and touched his hair. "It's gotten rather long, hasn't it?"
He looked ruefully at the ends which were touching his waist. "I've been so busy, I haven't done much with it in so long. But that's not important in the least. What's important is my woman here."
He turned back to her with concern in his eyes. "Are you hurt anywhere Darling?"
She blinked. At least her eyelids didn't hurt.
She swallowed. Her throat hurt.
She tried to move her legs and arms.
"Ahhh!" She whispered, wincing. She could barely move anything.
"Hurt?"
She nodded.
"Where are you hurt, Sweetheart?"
"Everywhere." She managed to gasp out.
"I was afraid of that. I didn't want to give her too much painkillers until she could tell me exactly how much pain she was in."
