"What land rights?" Carol frowned. "If you go to someone who's owned their lands for hundreds or thousands of years and you demand land rights, you will be looking down the barrel of a weapon."
Zander shook his head. "Demon-assisted weapons are not something you can fight against. Once it is deployed, it destroys everything it touches until the energy has been expended."
"All the land that once belonged to some human has now been abandoned. It belongs to Alastaire now."
Carol stared at Zander with something in her eyes akin terror and anger, but she said nothing. She could not argue with the fact that huge swaths of Earth lands had been irreversibly damaged by the Scourge Winds.
Mira shook her head. "Baby, you asked Jana a question and I want to know why you asked that question."
