"So are we to change our Kingdom's name to Ruby?" Tangerine Osiris asked as she stood behind her husband, brushing out his long red hair.
One day out on the beach had tangled her husband's long thick tresses to the point where if she didn't do a bit of untangling magik, they might as well cut off the knots at the nape.
Cobalt Osiris laughed. "No Baby. Our Kingdom is still Topaz. We just happen to be located on the Island of Ruby."
"Didn't Ruby Island used to have a Kingdom named Ruby?"
"Yes, but that was thousands of years ago. The Kingdom became too isolated because they were separated from the rest of the empire. Their lineages and Houses all died out or migrated away."
Tangerine pursed her lips. "Sounds like what just happened to Topaz."
