Shin looked at his little brother and then nodded. Hearing this story, he couldn't help but agree towards his little brother. The pain that he felt in his heart lessened.
'To have a father as brave as him. I am proud!'
"But it didn't end there." Shaun said.
"A week after that 'Dungeon Break', a more powerful orc appeared."
"He was 10ft tall and his skin was dark red unlike those regular ones who were green."
"He wreaked havoc everywhere. Almost 50% of our town's population decreased just because of that Orc Leader."
"Wow..." Shin felt chills.
"How was he stopped then?"
"A powerful man appeared. It was like he was superman! He was super fast! He had red glowing eyes like that of a vampire's. He and that Orc Leader fought for 1 minute."
"With his sword, he cut down that Orc Leader into mince meat." Shaun spoke the words word by word. His face was filled with excitement and yearning.
Shin's eyes couldn't help but constrict. He was shocked. The recap of what happened while he was still asleep gave him chills.
It was like he was in a game! Especially if he included the system!
Shin was dazed for a moment but he quickly calmed down as he thought of something.
"Where's mom????" Shin asked.
Fear filled his heart. He was dumbfounded by the news of his father's death and his mother wasn't here!
Shin broke down into cold sweat.
Noticing his brother's appearance, Shaun smiled bitterly and said,
"Mother's fine. She's working right now. I was the only one at home so she still doesn't know that you're awake."
Shin heaved a sigh of relief.
"But I hope she quits working hays..." Shaun muttered to himself.
"Huh? What was that?" Shin asked.
"Nothingggg"
After that, Shin received the go signal from his doctor that he could go home. The doctor gave him a card and told him that he should go to this address immediately.
...
Shin and Shaun went home. His house was located at Baranggay Tabon Tabon at a subdivision. On the way to his house, he saw that the whole town was nothing like he knew. It was dark and creepier. The plaza wasn't the same as before as it was made into a tall building. That mainly stood to monitor the happenings in the whole town. There were barely any people walking around.
"It's weird isn't it" Shaun said.
"In just mere three years, the normal town that we lived in was turned upside down."
"Yeah. It's like we're in an apocalypse."
"Well, don't worry. The center of Irosin, was just moved further away since the portal that opened was near the cemetery."
'near the cemetery huh' Shin thought to himself.
"So where is the local plaza and marketplace located?"
"Sa Patag"
"Oh?" Shin was intrigued.
"Anyway, we're here."
Shin looked at the house that he lived in. Nothing really changed, although it looked a bit older. He surveyed the surroundings and was happy and sad at the same time since the world had completely become much crueler.
He inhaled the fresh air and then looked towards the sky.
"This is reality huh?" Shin muttered to himself.
"Kuya come in." Shaun said with a smile.
"Welcome home Kuya" Shaun said with a big smile.
He entered the house and he was greeted with a table full of food.
'Adobo, spaghetti, fried chicken, burgers...'
Shin looked at the table and couldn't help but salivate. His stomach grumbled.
"I have been saving up my money so that when you wake up, I can surprise you with an immense amount of food." Shaun said with a bright smile.
Warmth arose inside his heart as he looked at his little brother.
Shin hugged his little brother and patted his head,
"thanks".
Shaun laughed and said,
"Okay okay let me go. I don't like men".
