Synopsis
Xue Liqin became the brain-dead protagonist of a novel, the award-winning female lead who's IQ only works if she was more than five continents away from the male lead, Mo Liling. Hence, the first mission she gave herself was to transfer schools and transfer homes. Having escaped from her antagonist step sister and the villainess' biological brother, who was the male lead, she depressingly relived her high-school life, trying not to hit her art teacher with a scalpel who kept complaining that her stickmen weren't artistic enough. It was all well and dandy, and she once again pursued her dream job as a forensic scientist; however, the gentle and disabled tablemate who was quietly sewing a cute pink squid suddenly asked her if she wanted to go to the cinema. So on a fine March Saturday, Mo Liling was taken to a blood-soaked casino, where a war between a mafia house and some elite government soldiers were fighting. She was handed ice cream and soda and was told to enjoy the show. After, Mo Liling highly expressed she had never experienced such professionalism and realism, as she smiled while dialling 110. Later at a luxury palace like mansion, Pink Squid boy grinned as he handed her a golden scalpel inlaid with several pink diamonds, "come, I know you have such a cute hobby, don't be shy and enjoy yourself." Mo Liling looked down at the several experiment men belonging to the ruthless villain household and sighed, looking disappointed, "I'm not interested in the breathing ones." The grandpa on the side chuckled, took out a gun and shot a man through the head, "little girl, how about that one? He's not breathing now." A mature gentleman who had similar features to her tablemate suddenly threw out a pretty dagger, hitting another man straight through the forehead, "I think that one is a lot better; how about you play with the one I hit?" Mo Liling gently smiled as she silently said to herself, the heart is small, the head is small, this world is too big for me to live in.

Chapter 1 - Chapter One

A novel titled 'President Qi's Sweet Wife' that Xue Liqin had casually flicked through when she found it lying beside the victim's body was a good example of what one would call a dogsh*t and blood tears plot.

While other's were busy examining the crime scene, Xue Liqin had been cursing the author's brain for creating a leech monster that sucks away the reader's IQ.

Even when she got back to the lab, she silently sat down and tried to read from cover to cover, attempting to understand if the victim killed herself from reading such a tragic piece of sh*t.

"Xue Liqin, I didn't know you're a fiction reader," a thick foreign accent belonging to a female co-worker spoke as she walked up and stood beside her, looking down at the dense and compact writing.

"I'm not; I'm trying to figure out how much the publishing house lost after printing something like this," Xue Liqin muttered.

Annika Kozlov chuckled, her pair of beautiful blue eyes curved in amusement as she scratched her blonde hair, "there are no leads so far; we'll need a few hours to get data back from the toxicology testing."

The crime scene was strange.

Clearly, there was no evidence of murder, and they had received a health report of the victim from the hospital clearly stating the victim didn't have any disease.

All they could think of was maybe the victim had taken something, but even then, there was no indication of that either.

It was as if the victim had just dropped down dead for no reason.

Xue Liqin was halfway through the book as she turned another page, suddenly something slightly heavy slipped from the pages landing on Xue Liqin's lap.

Xue Liqin was slightly surprised before picking up the pretty little metal bookmark, with strange golden patterns etched.

"It's a lovely little bookmark," Annika said as she looked curiously at it before she was distracted by another co-worker's call, "you should pack up and head home for a rest," she turned back to Xue Liqin after she answered the co-worker's yell.

"Alright, see you tomorrow," Xue Liqin looked up at her friend and bid farewell.

"Have a good rest."

Annika patted Xue Liqin on the shoulder before heading off back to work.

Xue Liqin studied the bookmark before reading the two pages it had marked carefully.

The two pages didn't seem to have anything wrong with them, apart from a sentence spoken in a foreign language.

She hadn't a clue what language it was written in.

She took out her phone and translated it into Chinese, 'Death has begun to move, the world is going to be reformed. Ragnarok is finally here, may evil be burned and may the Goddess be reborn.'

It's supposedly Afrikaans?

She had honestly had never heard of it before.

Xue Liqin was astonished; she really should send some gift packages to the author for the amount of bullsh*t they could sprout.

What the hell was this even meant to be, some sort of fancy poetic phrase to sound intelligent?

Was she too stupid, or was it actually because the sentence was so random?

Wasn't this stray piece of text completely out of context to the rest of the story?

Xue Liqin sighed, starting to feel a headache, before putting the two items into a sealable plastic bag and carefully putting them away so someone could study them and get cephalalgia later.

She stretched, went to sign out, grab her stuff and head off to the parking lot.

Not long after, she was on the highway and heading home.

Xue Liqin was stopped at a red light; having to wait for two minutes, she pulled out her phone and found that her translator app was still open along with the translation she did earlier.

She pressed the speech button on the Afrikaans text; hearing the robotic voice pronouncing out the sentence, she memorised the sound before saying it herself.

"Die dood het begin beweeg; Die wêreld gaan hervorm word. Ragnarok is uiteindelik hier, mag kwaad verbrand word en mag die godin hergebore word."

Her tongue was hard, and the pronunciation sounded awkward.

Suddenly a bright light flashed into her car, before the sound of honking, tire skidding and finally a frighting sound of vehicles crashing against each other.

Xue Liqin jolted so hard she felt her soul pull out of her body; her vision dimmed quickly before she fainted.

Xue Liqin woke up in what seemed to be a hospital bed. She took a sigh of relief when she realised she had managed to survive a car crash.

Once she gets better, she'll go and find that person who crashed into her from behind and file a lawsuit.

Did you even pass your driving test, or did you get your license through underhanded methods?

Such crappy driving, really encouraging people to die.

Suddenly the white curtains were pulled open, causing Xue Liqin to look at the pretty male who wore a white lab coat, "student, you should be more careful in the future. You're lucky this time you didn't get a concussion from that fall."

The pretty white lab coat male spoke as he checked the drip; seeing that it was empty, he carefully pulled the needle out of Xue Liqin's arm and began to tidy up the equipment.

Xue Liqin's brain was buzzing as her eyes were slightly fuzzy while she glanced at the metal nameplate with black text attached to the man's lab coat.

'School Doctor Bai Boqin'.

Xue Liqin: ???

What idiot sent her to a school doctor for a car accident treatment?

Xue Liqin's IQ was on par with some of the most intelligent people on the planet, had been corrupted by the little brain-damaging book, and was now trying to understand what on Earth was going on.

Xue Liqin gave the young school doctor a smile, "who sent me to the school doctor?"

When she finds out the person, she'll make sure to hack them to death.

Bai Boqin, who was putting the equipment to one side of the room, looked back at the little student who looked rather out of it, "a male student took you here."

Great.

Xue Liqin let out a harsh laugh.

A male student found her in a car crash and, for some reason, sent her to a school doctor for treatment and not the hospital; he didn't call for the ambulance.

Where's her scalpel? She suddenly wanted to skin someone.

The district she was driving on didn't have any educational institutions, and the highway she was on lead to a famous hospital, not a school.

"What's the name of this school?" I'll make sure to speak to your board director later and question your education system.

What type of IQ do you need to do what your good student did, huh?

Bai Boqin looked at the female student weirdly; maybe she had damaged her head more than he thought, "this is Lan He Conservatory," he reached out for the phone on the desk, ready to call for an ambulance at any second.
