Freya was unsurprised by Carol's reaction.
After all, dreams were usually far better than reality.
If Carol got to marry a man like Gideon, she might not feel the same way. Instead, she might think she was the most miserable woman on earth.
Suddenly, a commotion could be heard in the staff canteen.
Carol looked over and saw Gideon and Abigail walking side by side, so she kept pushing Freya's shoulder.
Freya looked at her quizzically. "What's wrong?"
"Over there. I can't believe Mr. Carter is having lunch with Abigail at the staff canteen."
Freya scoffed. "What's so interesting about that?"
Carol quickly explained, "I've been working for the company for three years, so you might not know this since you are new. Ever since Mr. Carter took over the company, he has never eaten lunch at the staff canteen. He probably only came because of Abigail."
