Gideon was halfway through his cigarette. He looked completely calm and nonchalant.
Luke found it inconceivable and lost all hope.
He turned to look at Freya as he said powerlessly in an angry tone, "Why would you get married?"
Freya pursed her lips as she looked at Luke. She genuinely felt bad for doing this to Luke, but she could not tell him the truth. She could only suppress her feelings and say calmly, "It doesn't matter."
The moment she finished her sentence, Luke raised his hand slowly as though he wanted to touch her.
The woman did nothing to dodge Luke, but someone suddenly pulled her away. Before she knew it, she found herself in a man's arms.
Freya was caught by surprise. She looked up at the man behind her and made eye contact with him.
