Freya and Luke looked at each other in surprise the moment they finished their sentences.
Freya felt worried. Her lashes trembled as she lowered her eyes guiltily.
She could even see Gideon studying the two of them from the corner of her eye.
Gideon smiled ambiguously as he asked her in a profound tone, "Is he your ex-boyfriend?"
Freya pursed her lips. She raised her head and looked at Gideon, "Mr. Carter, we shouldn't keep the client waiting, right?"
Freya was terrified Gideon might blow her cover. She did not want to handle both men at the same time. Since it was far easier to shake Luke off her tail, she took the initiative to get into Gideon's car first. This way, she wouldn't have to worry about Luke.
Gideon laughed gently. He raised his chin toward the front passenger seat and gestured for her to get into the car.
"Thanks boss."
