Freya looked at Ashley and said in a serious tone, "Yes? I am having dinner with my friend."
Gideon's tone was filled with disbelief as he asked, "Dinner?"
Freya pondered. Was there anything wrong with eating dinner?
Since it seemed perfectly normal, she replied to the man, "That is right. I am in the middle of dinner now."
"Come back to Bay View Garden this instant."
Gideon hung up the phone the moment he finished his sentence.
Freya looked at Ashley at a loss. "He told me to go back and did not say it very nicely."
"Huh? Isn't Mr. Carter the most popular man among women in town? Why is he so uncivilized?"
"Then again, he always does it."
"Does he hate you that much?"
"What do you think? He is capable and gorgeous but ended up marrying a woman he had never seen in his life. It is only natural for him to dislike me. I can totally understand."
