The villa.
Abigail lingered until eight at night to lull Teddy to sleep, then she remembered that she didn't have a room here. "Um, Aunt Claudia, I'll stay with Teddy tonight."
"Absolutely not." As soon as Abigail spoke, Aunt Claudia flatly refused.
It was the first time Abigail had been so straightforwardly rejected by Aunt Claudia. Confused, she listened as Aunt Claudia explained, "You've just been discharged from the hospital. Your body hasn't fully recovered, and the doctor said your concussion can't handle noise. Teddy is most energetic now, sometimes even waking up at night to play. How can your body endure? Go rest well."
"I'm fine..."
"Still not allowed." Aunt Claudia's refusal was blunt.
Abigail could only try another approach. "Well... I don't have a room here."
Aunt Claudia gave her a peculiar look. "You have a child, and you already shared a room with Brandon before. Why act awkward now? Go! Brandon might even be waiting for you."
