Abigail looked at the man's shining eyes and that face no one could resist. She didn't understand, weren't they supposed to be looking for her mother? Why had the topic shifted in this direction?
"Hmm?" Seeing that Abigail didn't respond, Brandon Piers reminded her with a hum, his eyes full of expectation.
Abigail looked up at him. "Do you have a masochistic tendency?"
Otherwise, why was he so excited?
"No, I don't." Brandon noticed the look in Abigail's eyes and realized he might have been too agitated, quickly denying it.
"If you don't have a masochistic tendency, then there's no need for you to be so excited." Abigail finished speaking and wanted to get off Brandon, as she had already felt the most primal threat from the man and decided it was better to retreat.
But before she could get up, Brandon's long arm pulled her back, resulting in her half-lying in his arms, feeling both awkward and embarrassed. "Um... what are you doing?"
