Brandon Piers sat beside, his face looking as calm as water. In fact, he had been paying close attention to Abigail's reaction, feeling pleased. It seemed that his ruse had worked.
After the doctor left, Brandon lay on the hospital bed silently.
Alex sensibly withdrew.
Abigail lay under the blanket for a long time but couldn't help herself, "Does it hurt?"
"No." Brandon continued to pretend to be strong, but his brows tightly furrowed.
"Let me see." Abigail frowned. How could it not hurt? The doctor had spent quite some time treating his wound.
