Abigail originally planned to leave after dropping things off and checking on the baby.
But Teddy absolutely wouldn't let her go.
The little guy was so happy, clinging to her like a piece of sticky candy, calling her "mommy" nonstop, as if she really were his mother.
At first, Abigail felt a bit awkward, afraid that Teddy's "mommy" would be upset. But as she interacted with him, she found that not only was the other person unbothered by her presence, it seemed like she had solved a big problem for them. This made her feel much more at ease.
Abigail spent the whole afternoon playing with the little guy.
She fed him milk, told stories, and played hide-and-seek, tirelessly.
Several times she tried to leave, but the little guy just held her hand, not letting go. In the end, she had no choice but to wait until he fell asleep while feeding him in the evening before getting up.
