Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

Hours, have now turned to days of Lily not awakening, Fred and George have almost always brought flowers and get well letters, they even noticed that from time-to-time, Percy left some letters and cards for her as well. Madam Pomfrey was completely baffled of why Lily has failed to come out of her slumber, but she was going to keep a close eye on Lily in case she woke up late at night or at all for that matter. It's now been almost a week since Lily was brought into the hospital wing, and finally, about mid-morning, she had some trouble opening her weld shut eyes. Unsure of where she was, what day it is, how long she was asleep for, or even how she got to where she is now, she slowly sat up, and saw Fred and George holding each of her hands, asleep from worrying about her so much, and there are mountains of school work left around her for her to catch up on. She gently squeezed the twins' hands and they slowly awakened and looked up towards Lily, over joyed with relief and happiness that she has woken up at all this figuratively made their hearts leap for joy and remorse. They gently and yet tightly embraced Lily with tears weld in their eyes, "We were sick with worry that you wouldn't ever wake up, Lily." Fred exclaimed, and George added, "For real, we knew that you needed some rest, but we were terrified that you just never wanted to wake up again." Lily smiled sadly and embraced them both, "I really didn't mean to scare you both so badly, but, apparently, my body really needed a reset from not sleeping very well for many years that it finally caught up to me. But, how long was I asleep for, what day is it, where am I, and, how did I get here?" Lily asked those questions as if she were a person whom has amnesia and was seriously freaking out. "Alright, Lily, first of all dear, please calm down, you just woke up from an incredibly long sleep." Madam Pomfrey stated when she walked into the room before continuing, "Now, please allow me to answer your questions, you're in the hospital wing, your brothers carried you here after you collapsed from great exhaustion in the Great Hall, you have been asleep for almost an entire week, it's Saturday today." she said all of that cool and collectively as if it was perfectly normal for anyone to miss that much of school. Lily's eyes grew immensely wide before she blurted out, "WHAAAAAAT?!" on the top of her lungs. Lily now has a whole weeks worth of school work to catch up on and very little time to do it for almost everything had to be turned in two days time.
