Chereads / Swimming Prodigy’s Return / Chapter 28 - The Melancholy Of Teacher Y...

Chapter 28 - The Melancholy Of Teacher Y...

(Ji-woo POV)

After that eventful lunch, we returned back to the classroom to learn the basics of science like the water cycle and other cycles.

Well, that's what I thought until the teacher introduced a new teacher for the day and for the upcoming days.

"Good afternoon class! So, you may be wondering who this is; Ma'am, please do introduce yourself"

"Hello class! I'm Ms. Yang but you may call me Ms. Y or Teacher Y, okayyy~?"

""Yeesss~""

From her introduction, I could tell that she wasn't a teacher to be messed with! She elongates words to sound kind yet has that strict undertone about her.

It's totally not because of her white blouse, black pencil skirt, black high heels, glasses, hair bun and wooden pointer.

She totally doesn't look like a teacher who would use physical force to enforce the laws of the classroom...totally!

While I start thinking about how I'll talk to Min-chul during this period, our original teacher leaves the room so that Teacher Y can start her lesson. Oh boy.

Turning my head to Min-chul, I see that he is mostly uninterested. It's very impressive since he is always sleeping or not listening to the lesson but can answer every question the teachers ask him.

Another good point; he isn't a suck up to the teachers while still getting good grades.

No! Why am I always thinking about his good points? I need to focus in class!

Returning my attention back to Teacher Y, I see her setting up the projector to her computer.

Once she finishes, the thing that catches my eye is the giant word saying "Reproduction" on the wall. What's that?

(MC POV)

Seriously? Sex-Ed? At this time of year?

(A.N) tell me someone got this...

If you want to create awkward conversations and a weird atmosphere, SexEd is the only way to do it perfectly. Do it to kids? You're in for blushing faces and tilting heads.

I look at everyone in the class and literally nobody knows what reproduction means. Why don't I remember this happening?

'...is this another thing that changed?'

[humans are idiots; you and your species don't remember the important parts in your life and this is probably an example of that. Does it matter?]

'Ehhhh...'

Hearing Feelie, I start going into deep thought about the future of this new world. Will more things change? How big?

Will World War 3 happen? Will some famous swimmers not be born or something?

'Damn it, I was planning playing with stocks when I got older!'

Now, that's probably another source of income aside from swimming that was closed off. Yes, I can play with the stocks of a company I know will rise, but what if it changes too?

It isn't too far fetched that maybe the companies of this world will change immensely. Maybe some companies are already changing in names.

And that is when I realized something about this life; the changing of some parts, the quests of Feelie and the others things.

This life ONLY wants me to become an amazing swimmer...well, I guess the sponsors can pay quite well.

But aside from swimming, it probably wants me to improve my life as well.

Reaching my epiphany made me more calm than ever. Well, at least on the surface.

Inside I was slightly panicking but now, I was more focused on this lesson of SexEd and how I can use this to get Ji-woo closer to me.

It may be a bit weird and awkward to talk about reproduction with someone her age but I'll make it work!

"Alright, now class! Do you ever wonder how you came here in the first place?"

'Wooooahhhh, a professional! She starts it off very soft...pun intended; put it there Feelie!'

[.....please leave me out of your stupid games]

'Awwwwww'

As the teacher waits for people to raise their hands in agreement, most of the class do it out of curiousity. Who wouldn't wonder where they came from?

"Alright, I see quite a few hands. Does anybody want to guess first?"

'Ahhh, this should interesting. I still remember my guess from that time in 4th grade...'

(Flashback)

"Can anyone make a guess on how you were made and got into this world to have your friends and eat your favorite foods?"

As the teachers asks that question, I hold a female classmate closer to me. I know a tiny bit about how we got here, so I guess I got to educate my stupid classmates.

"I know! When a man sees a woman with a curvy, sexy and tight body, he takes her to a love hotel and-"

"Okay! Min-chul, do you mind talking to me after school?"

Just as I was about to educate my classmates on how they were made, I suddenly get interrupted by the teacher for whatever reason.

What she said got me sad and a bit nervous since mom might be mad but thinking about what she said more, I smirk in delight.

"Ohoh? See fellow classmates? This is how you were made. When a woman sees a muscular, rich and handsome man, she takes him to love hotel and-"

"NO! Kyahhhhh~!!!"

""Ohhhh...Min-chul is really a pro, huh?""

Collapsing onto the ground blushing and covering her face, she screams out in embarrasment.

On the other hand, my classmates are all curious and interested in how I was able to do it; how I was able to show how they were made...

(MC POV)

'Ahhhh, good memories'

Right now, despite how funny it may be to do the same as my previous life, I think it wouldn't help me with Ji-woo. Yes, she might see me as cool but I'll lean over to the class clown rather than the cool kid.

There is a difference with being popular for being the class clown and being popular for being the cool kid.

Girls laugh at the class clown, girls swoon over the cool kid.

Girls talk to the class clown, girls TALK to the cool kid.

Girls are nice to the class clown, girls are NICE to the cool kid.

There is a very big difference between the two. However! The best of the best, the professionals amongst the professional walk this balance perfectly.

They say jokes when the time is right and respect the teacher while doing it. The perfect balance of cool and funny; this is needed to sway Ji-woo's brain.

Her relationship with me is slightly ambiguous and I need to keep it that way until she tips it over to the crush side rather than a good friend.

This, my dear readers, is how to coax a 3rd grader to like you. Don't @ me and please no report!

Anyways...ahem ahem, I start listening to the various answer s of my classmates.

"Uhhh, aren't we brought here by the birds?"

"Huh? Are you a dumdum? The jellyfish bring us here!"

"Oh, I thought we just appear here from teleporting on a purple octagon..."

From somewhat believable to absolutely stupid, my peers are more uneducated that I thought. Maybe this is why we are having SexEd this early.

"Wooow! Such great guesses but sadly, you are off by a bit. Would you like to learn how you were born?"

I turn my head to look at Ji-woo who looks just as confused as the other kids. I move my table closer to hers so I can use this rare opportunity to make her embarrassed.

In SexEd, kids often feel very embarrassed but they can't help but look at their friends of the opposite gender and wonder, "can I make a baby with him/her?". It's inevitable and I need her to think that way with me.

...it isn't weird, it's for love! And for coins!

"So, let me show you how you guys were brought into this world"

As the teacher starts her presentation, Ji-woo tightly holds my hand in anticipation. Huh? Why is she nervous?

"So the penis goes into here and.....it's actually very interesting since instead of laying eggs, humans keep the baby inside their bodies"

As Teacher Y continues her professional explanation, some of the kids are already looking down and blushing, especially after she mentioned that kissing is involved.

Well, I guess the first sign something was wrong was when she mentioned kissing was involved...

"...and boom! The semen comes out! Pew pew pew! Into the ovaries to touch the egg cells and make...YOU! So! In conclusion, penis inside girl, in out in out, pew pew and then? YOU!"

Uhhhhh, yeah, no thanks.

Teacher Y started out normal until she started talking more and more frantically, like a cult leader preaching their religion.

She holds her arms out open in a jesus-like position and I swear, I could see some light shining down on her from nowhere.

At this point, all of the class is already looking down and glancing at their crushes or friends. So me. Everyone is basically taking turns looking at me or Young-jae.

Ji-woo starts squeezing my hand like it's water trying to escape her grasp and I start going pale. Oy Oy Oy, how hard can you squish?!?!

"U-uhhh, J-Ji-woo?"

"Huh? Oh, e-e-e-ehehe, s-s-sorry...ahem ahem..."

She covers her mouth and starts coughing to relieve the tension between us. She and So-young have been the most active in looking at me while Mi-cha is shyly staring at Young-jae the most.

Good on him! What a catch!

"And then, usually, the baby comes out after 9 months. To put that into your perspective, in 9 months, you kids finish school!"

""Oohhhh~""

Some of us have a hard time comprehending just how long 9 months is so she puts it into simpler terms; 9 months is the time until school is finished and we know how long school is.

...at least when you're sitting in class.

"Then after the baby is born, you need to take leave from work to care for the child and you start having to take out loans with a 7% monthly interest rate..."

"And then your husband and you start fighting and yelling in front of the baby while he goes out every night to drink and rid himself of the pain that is home"

Taking a pause from her somber story, she takes a sip of some whiskey from a flask that she somehow brought in.

"After a few years of this, he finds a prostitute and falls in love with her, leaving you and the baby to fend for yourself as you struggle to find a job....."

Looking out the window with both hands behind her back, it's as if she is reminiscing about something...

"Until you are offered a dead end job at RF Primary teaching this stuff to little kids..."

'...haah? Who hurt this woman?'

From the tale that she spun, some of the kids got confused halfway but some of the smarter kids with business smart parents knew the technical terms and started fearing babies.

After all, loans with high interest rates are the bane of humans!

Ji-woo tugs at my shirt and looks up at me with her naturally occurring puppy eyes and asks me a question I never thought I'd hear but am glad I did.

"H-hey, Min-chul? I-I-if we make a b-b-baby, will you leave me?"
