I radioed for Baddie and she was whispering, "Where are you Cap? there are so many people here panicking about an incident."
"I need you to get Marco."
"How?"
"Just say your a doctor and get Bull to carry him outside, take him across the road to the-"
Knock knock. It was Calypso, she opened the coffin and smiled.
"Ummmm, thanks."
She went into the darkness and with a click the lights turned on, we were in their lair. There was weapons laid out and a cape, mask, wig and hat. One for each owner, they really were serious about taking down corrupt business men. I admired the layout and the dim lights that somehow made the room brightly lit. I saw Calypso typing something on the laptop very fast, she was probably sending a message to Aoife. Baddie was till working on getting Marco, I kept looking at the entrance worrying but then I heard whispering and groaning from behind me. It was Bull and Marco. I ran over to them and looked at Calypso,
"I want to talk with him alone, do you have anywhere?"
She nodded and pointed towards the wall, I raised my eyebrow and pushed the wall. It led to an area with jail bars surrounding it, I dragged Marco over to that area and locked the cell. He had finally gained consciousness and I yawned. He was sat on the floor the whole time.
"How are you?"
He stared at me in disbelief and scoffed.
"I can't believe you did that."
"I can. You went for my friends so I went for you. It simple really, don't mess with me."
"You think you're in charge here don't you?"
"Oh, I am in charge what made you think otherwise?"
"I have men everywhere and why do you act so big?"
"I like it, it makes me feel powerful. I think it works because you are in a jail cell whilst I'm on the outside. I need answers and information."
He turned to face the wall and stood up reluctantly, he swivelled around and went in for a punch through the bars. I pushed his hand back in and he fell to the floor.
"Please just listen, I need to know how your mother got that bracelet."
"She has always had it."
"My mother supposedly has that bracelet, either she stole it or she-"
"Is your mother. She is your mother and I am your brother. It was a family secret because your mother had cheated on your father before you were born and left him for me and my father. You were born after because she went back to your dad to apologise and well, the rest is history."
"Well, history really does like to bite us in the ass."
I opened the cell and gestured for him to leave, there was nothing I could do. I got what I wanted. He looked at me with true sincerity and waved with a boyish smile on his face. We were family, that is why he was intelligent, skillful and didn't kill me but I was the woman version of him. The woman version of anyone is more powerful, so I will let him have a headstart and then I will take his cartel from the foundation. Wheels walked in and sighed,
"I think you just made a mistake, you may regret it."
"It doesn't matter, I got what I wanted."
"What you wanted was to take down the cartel that makes people suffer."
"I think I was lying to you and to myself when I said that, in reality I wanted revenge and the truth."
"I guess the truth hurts?"
"It kills me to know. Also, I can't believe Pad and Younger betrayed me."
"Well, their loyalties are all over the place."
"Loyalty isn't a choice, it's a responsibility."
I walked out and left Wheels alone with his thoughts, Baddie looked at me wit confusion and frowned.
"You're not going to pull another runner are you?"
"I need space."
She nodded and on my way out I saw Calypso, Aoife and the other woman who greeted me in the karaoke bar. They didn't stop me from leaving, but I turned around and breathed in deeply.
"Thank you Aoife, you can kick them out now. Tell them they can return to England or stay here but they should really go home. I will be getting a few things I need and I will not return unfortunately."
"Okay but do know that we will always have a secret way out in any of our clubs for you. Just remember that having a team is better than no one."
"But I can do this alone."
"Anyone can do anything alone but having help makes thing easier and more efficient."
"There are more problems with having a team though."
"The risk is what makes it dangerous and exciting. Let the adrenaline take control for once, it's there for a reason."
I nodded with my lips pursed, she was right but it felt wrong. I walked to the warm outdoors of Italy, the sun was setting so you could see an orange glow reflecting off the buildings. I saw a low balcony and climbed to the rooftops of the closely packed houses, I started to run and jump from building to building, I felt so free and happy. I didn't feel trapped in my own mind for once, I was finally at peace. I reached a vehicle and hot wired it, I drove away. It was a half an hour drive because I was speeding, and in front of me was a road and then a wall that sectioned off where the beach was. I headed to the beach, it was nice. This was the first time I was upset that I got the information I needed but I didn't want it. I didn't know what to do with my emotions so I did something everyone does. I screamed and laughed, I laughed for what felt like an hour. A man was in the distance but it was getting dark so I could only see a silhouette it felt wrong but I spun around lay on the sand. I took another deep breathe and giggled. The man was very close I could feel it and then all of a sudden there was a mans face above me. I grabbed their ankles and pulled them to the ground and grabbed their arm pulling to their back. I breathed down their neck and they grunted.
"Who are you and what do you want?"
"Just let me go and I'll show you who I am."
"No, just tell me you idiot."
"Aggressive much, your mother mustn't appreciate it."
"How do you know my mother?"
"Please let me explain."
"Explain I am not stopping you."
"Well I can barely breathe so yes you are."
I let go of his arm and rolled him around. I put my arm up to his neck and saw his face.
"I recognise you from somewhere, who are you?"
"It doesn't matter, I have something to tell you."
"Tell me then !"
"Your mother sent me!"
"I doubt it man."
I stared his brown eyes and sighed.
"What does she want?"
"She wants meet with you, something about trying repair her relationship with you."
"Really?"
"Yes."
I let him go and left, there was no way I was going to see that horrible excuse of a mother. Information~ Stage 12 completed but my anxiety may fail me yet again.
