Myrina Arden believed her mother was the prettiest woman she had ever seen,

Standing there even as it snowed slightly, Lady Tora's magic energized the greenery around helping them withstand the weather,

She lightly touched each flower and if you looked closely enough you would noticed how they bloomed brighter in reaction to her touch,

Watching her mother like this, in the midst of the nature she so dearly loved, enriching the greenery with her spiritual essence, this familiar scene had always brought calm to little Myrina's heart.

Myrina Arden understood exactly why her father was so besotted with her mother and if the women of the forest tribe were all like this, it was hardly surprising that they had long captured the right to the hearts of all the lords of Ardenurve.

Myrina's mother was truly an astonishing beauty, she had softest, most beautiful black hair that reached all the way down to her waist, a feature little Myrina had inherited although hers was currently only at mid back.

Lady Tora's eyes were an enchanting forest green color, identical to little Myrina's right eye, on the other hand, little Myrina's left eye was the deep shade of scarlet of her father, Lord Torsten Arden's eyes.

Scarlet eyes were a trade mark feature of the Arden family, much to Myrina's annoyance.

Myrina admitted her father's eyes were beautiful, enchanting even, but when all the previous Lords of Arden had that same color and shade, you got tired of passing on the genes.

Myrina had always wished if only both her eyes had taken after her mother's, then her painting would have made a good difference in the Arden Hall of Lords, not looking like another version of the previous Lord.

Lady Tora's heart shaped lips were a beautiful shade of red, her flawless almond skin had an alluring sheen to it,

She was quite tall for a woman, but exuded unmatched elegance and grace, a noble Lady through and through.

Lady Tora wore a simple white gown, the sleeves flared out and fluttered in the wind, her personal maid trailing behind her holding her fur coat.

"My lady, the young miss ran off and barged into the audience hall!" An annoying voice sounded, interrupting the serene atmosphere,

Myrina frowned in annoyance as she recognized it to be Calla's voice...the annoying girl.

Myrina rushed out before her personal maid could get her in anymore trouble, coming to a stop before her mother and glaring at Calla.

"How could you bother such a great beauty with your disturbing news especially when she is at work on the garden, have you no regards for the elegant female...begone with you and leave her to have her peace!" Myrina lectured sternly, trying her possible best to mimick the intimidating voice of the burly chief cook of the Arden castle,

Lady Tora's laughter rang out like the tingling of bells, so melodious, so beautiful.

"I have never heard a more beautiful sound, you My lady are the embodiment of beauty and perfection, you have won my heart." Myrina said in a dazzled voice,

Lady Tora gave her child an amused look while the maids laughed.

"The young miss's flowery words get more interesting whenever she is trying to escape a punishment. Won your heart? Young miss, if someone were to hear you they would think you to be in love with your mother." The maid teased, the maid was also Myrina's nanny and so Myrina deeply respected her.

"Nanny, Of course I am in love with her, can you not see my mother is irresistible? It is only sad that mother has only father in her heart, my love is doomed to never be reciprocated.... I cannot bear to go on living." Myrina replied dramatically, Lady Tora laughed again.

"You are still going to get punished for interrupting your father's important meeting, you know? I heard of the things you said, already copying your father's bad habits, leaving all the good ones aren't you?" Lady Tora reprimanded her silly child sternly, little Myrina shrugged.

"Mother also knows I like the best things. If I had seen anything good, surely I would have taken that first, it's just that..." Myrina paused momentarily as though she found her next words unbearable to say.

" Father's good habits, they are non-existent. All father's habits are bad, it really isn't my fault you know?" Myrina lamented,

Lady Tora reached down and pinched her adorable daughter's cheeks painfully, Myrina pouted pitifully and Lady Tora scoffed at her daughter's act.

Myrina however froze when a powerful force of spiritual energy slammed into her, not so much that it hurt but strong enough to push little Myrina back a bit,

Myrina looked up to the castle walls, smiling sheepishly when she caught sight of her father's head poking out from the window, a glare in his eyes,

Myrina waved apologetically to her father before returning her gaze to her mother.

"In any case mother, I really could not let them attach me to that snotty nosed kid." Myrina insisted firmly and Lady Tora laughed.

"He is older than you, you know." Lady Tora reminded amusedly, although she was in complete agreement with her daughter, certainly her precious child deserved only the best.

Beyond this, Lady Tora wished for her daughter to experience love like she herself had found in Myrina's father, rather than a political marriage.

"Yes, sadly I am aware of this, and shamefully so. Kare is also older than me mother, but you do not see him getting beat up in a heart beat by a girl younger than him...the young child is just.. distasteful.. really too unqualified." Myrina declared,

Lady Tora laughed but little Myrina knew her mother agreed.

"Go to your quarters and get ready for dinner, after that you go right to bed, your maternal uncle arrives soon, the days will be busy henceforth." Lady Tora instructed her daughter, Myrina nodded,

Myrina bowed once more to her mother and then sneakily stuck a tongue out at her father before hurrying away just as Lord Torsten hurled another energy attack at her, the tree behind where Myrina had stood exploding into bits, raining dirt everywhere.

Lady Tora glanced down at her soiled robes and then at the flowers that had been uprooted by the explosion before she lifted a furious gaze to her husband.

"Torsten!!" Lady Tora yelled furiously

Myrina giggled as she heard her mother yell her father's name in anger, harming anything in her mother's garden was a huge crime, little Myrina knew her father would be in serious trouble.
