Kamara couldn't sleep after that display. She huffed and looked around the cavern. She supposed she'd just make her way to the ship.
------------
She looked about herself as she approached the ship. The fog had vanished within a half hour's time. A mythical, beautiful starry night replaced the grey from earlier.
The ship before her was grand and beautiful, if a bit weathered. The ship needed some delicate TLC if she was going to survive much longer. A hole in the side reminded (Bard) of an open wound that never healed properly.
A dingy was beached nearby, a set of legs hung over the edge. A crewmember lay inside, sound asleep until she leaned over and cleared her throat.
He jumped up, nearly falling into the foamy breaks against the sand. "Y-yes em!" The taller pirate looked around himself and, as he regained his senses, he brushed himself off and stood up, holding out a hand to help the lady into the dingy.
"Apologies. I didn't mean to startle you." (Bard) spoke amidst giggles. She took his hand and carefully stepped into the small vessel.
"The Captain asked me to ferry you to the ship when you were ready." He looked up at the sky.
"Asked?"
"Ordered."
Another giggle as she tried to hold back a laugh. Though the soft frown that had formed on the man's lips caused her to stop.
The rest of the small ride was spent in silence.
She had spent time aboard sea vessels before. Her previous experience was obvious when they reached their destination and went to help the crewman tether the dingy to be hoisted.
A Bard had to be good at many things and most weren't necessarily a master of anything except a chosen performance, which made them very versatile and useful.
"Tis alright, ma'am. You should go on and let me handle the work here." One shouldn't conflate duty with niceness here. He feared the captain would have his head if he let a guest to grunt work.
She hesitated for a moment before letting go of the rope. Without argument she skillfully climbed the rope ladder that had been waiting for her arrival.
Boarding the ship she noticed many of the men were still working hard to get her ready. Kamara looked around at the busyness of everyone before heading up to where she assumed Hook would be. She studied the railing as she ascended the stairs. Weathered, like the outside of the ship. There were many places that were cut away. She could tell many duels were held on this ship.
She found the captain about where she thought he'd be. He was studying odd star charts. She figured they were the stars from his own world. As she got closer she made her presence known. "Good morning, Captain."
