Thousands of Years Later...
2021
A small grey townhouse in the town of Portland, Maine, US, lays in wait to open up to a day of high school for a young man named Johnny Marvins. Johnny was born from a Irish folk tale family. Telling stories to one another as though it was real. His dark blue jeans lay not even skinned against his legs as they lay loose enough to where he can feels his legs have at least some room. The shoes that are on his feet were not boots nor flip flops. His long-sleeved pale red shirt was skinned against his skin as he heads to Portland High School.
The school's historic sight makes Johnny jump onto his feet with joy as his pale skin becomes brighter in the sun as he glares onto the sight from above with the sky in his eyes. He turns his head towards the door and heads up to it as he opens up the door to reveal the area before him. Red skinny poles lays before him with students walking to their classes. The floor was marble as he steps onto the marble as more tales begin to fill his head.
"Well ain't it my brother of another mother!"
Johnny looks before him to see his best friend Frederick before him. Wearing his signature square black glasses along with a white button long sleeved dress shirt along with formal pants and shoes. A smile forms onto his face as he walks up to Frederick, "I have finally found your skateboard. It has gotten chewed by an outdoor troll." The Irish accent is become hard.
"Your dog?" Frederick walks next to Johnny's side as his Australian accent is known. His brown eyes looks into Johnny's.
Johnny shakes his head as he walks up the marble staircase before him, "No old chairman, my pus has decided to mess with the darn thing!" He shoots his hands into the air. Almost causing his bookbag to hit someone.
Frederick smiles at the person and their friends walking by them, "Sorry about that ol' folks ya' know?"
The person snares at him while walking by.
Frederick loses his smile and let's out a sigh. His eyes looking back up to his friend, "Why did your cat attack my skateboard? I need that to get around places. My pa and ma won't let me get a car, we both know this."
Johnny gets onto the railing, "As for the seas shall never have a boring tale! Don't you worry my fellow companion! We shall get you a new crew!" He immediately jumps off the railing as the both of them walk up the rest of the stairs. Johnny turns his head towards Frederick, "My higher rulers may invite you to come down the riverside to join us in a feast!"
Frederick smiles at Johnny, "May your stories never get old."
Both boys walk to their first class together as they were chatting about homework and about how Johnny 'fought a dragon' while doing his work. It didn't make any sense to Frederick, but at least his friend is happy then he is too.
Their first class together was none other than Literature. It is Johnny's personal favorite because both him and their teacher can talk as folk as they wish.
Johnny enters into the classroom with his bag over his head, "May the cannons roar in violence for they are shattering heads, Mr. Birch!"
A British professor turns around to look at Johnny. He wears a yellow button down long sleeved shirt with also formal pants wear and shoes. He smirks a smile, "May the old champion hand over his blade for battle."
Johnny tosses his bag off of his head and holds out a mechanical pencil, "My blade is never dull!"
Mr. Birch looks at Johnny's pencil before looking into his eyes with own blue eyes of the sea, "Your sword is no longer the wooden basil that you crooked upon, lad."
Frederick walks around Johnny and goes over to his seat near the front. He takes off his bag and places it down on the table before him as he stares at Johnny and the teacher.
Johnny slowly walks over to his bag, "That wooden crap could never carve a name into its brim!"
Mr. Birch laughs as he turns back over to the class while fixing his long black hair. His chocolate brown eyes looks at the class before him, "Before anyone begin to complain. We are having a bugger walk in here."
Johnny picks up his bag and walks over to his desk which sits next to Frederick's and a girl's desk that no one really knows about. Johnny looks over at the desk before staring right back at the professor, "The lady whom sits on a pedestal is not here."
Mr. Birch looks at the desk next to Johnny before pointing a pale finger at him, "Wonky! She is a shamble..." He walks out of the classroom. Leaving the classroom to wonder where he went.
Frederick turns his head over to Johnny, "Why did you point her out again? You are only going to get the poor thing in trouble."
Johnny looks over at Frederick, "She is trouble, Frederick. A fair spy cannot be outspoken by a gentleman!"
"A gentleman who almost hit someone with his bookbag..." Frederick put his elbow onto the wooden desk before him and rests his chin onto his balled up fist.
"Non-sense, a true gentleman would never harm such a beauty!"
"Such a lie."
"Never a lie."
Frederick rolls his eyes and takes out the latest windows laptop and begins scrolling through articles involving the attack back in 400 B.C.
The attack has always been a favorite for both boys, they would even talk about it without a folk tale from Johnny; he would actually speak normally for that topic. They would draw out plans if they were the soldiers who were fighting assassins. Johnny would take a battalion around the forest region in order to ambush the assassins which Frederick would think that it would be a stupid idea. The clank of metal would give them away and losing the armor would give them both an advantage from an enemy attack even though it would mean their life.
Johnny looks over at Frederick's screen, "Seeking into the world of metal, I see?"
"There has to be something that we are missing, an entire army has been killed in broad daylight, Johnny." Frederick looks over at his friend as he notices that Johnny was already drawing out the entire strategy onto the desk with a blue dry erase marker.
Johnny points at 3 x's that were just freshly drawn onto the desk, "These are us! We can ambush them before they ambush us, like I said before."
"But that plan is stupid. We don't know if this enemy got poison!"
"Fair point, but do have faith, Frederick." Johnny uncaps his red dry erase marker. He begins drawing onto the desk once again as he draws out stickmen with swords in their arms.
A paper ball was thrown at Johnny's head as he turns to see the popular group sitting in the back. He rubs his head with his right hand before turning back around while hearing laughter.
"How would I kill for someone to teach them a lesson..." Johnny says lowly.
Frederick puts a hand onto Johnny's shoulder, "Chill out man, they are only here for another few more minutes."
Mr. Birch walks back into the classroom and grabs a pen before walking back out the door, but he pokes half of his body back into the room, "Make sure that all of you lads and lasses don't forget to do homework." He walks out of the classroom once again.
Johnny and Frederick heard a female voice said annoyed, "What is the fucking homework? All we have learned today is that retard in the front is a teacher's pet."
A group of girls with 3 boys walk out of the room while glaring at Johnny erasing his desk. Look of disgust on their faces shows that they never liked the duo before and never will. One of the girls steps onto Johnny's foot as he bends down a bit to rub his foot. Never does he want to feel hurt.
Frederick looks at the group and stands up, "Listen here you bunch of fuckers! Go back up your mothers' uterus that you pile of pig shits belong!"
"Says the one who wanted to join us!" A girl with light blonde hair laughs as she walks away from the group along with her friends.
Johnny gets up and smiles a little to Frederick, "Don't worry about it man, ignore them..." He puts away both his pencil and marker before putting his bookbag onto his shoulder.
Both boys walk out of the classroom with dissatisfied looks on their faces from the experience that they have just went through.
