Linda's POV
The car ride to school is extremely quiet. No one has said a word and it's quite obvious that Luke is angry. Our friends are barely keeping shut. They badly want to know what is going on but none of them has said a word.Ā
When we get to school, Luke leaves us behind and honestly I don't know if to go after him or not. I still stand on my decision not to date him. No amount of happiness is worth any of their lives.Ā
I know my friends would probably argue that my parents lived through this their entire lives and were happy until they died. But I saw the way Don Alonso used my father to carry out whatever kills he wanted and I know inside of me that my dad did it for us. I won't let my friends go through that. I can't wait for all of this to be over. When I'm done with Nikon, he'll regret covering up my father's death.Ā
