I stand up and take the phone from him. I leave the room to go receive the call. " Who's this? "
" It's Luke. "
These kids just don't know how to give breathing space to anyone.
" Call me later, I'm still interrogating him. " I say taking the phone off my ear.
" Wait! I have information. "
This had better be useful.
" Don't waste my time, talk fast. " I say impatiently.
" Frederick lied to our teacher during one of our classes, he took permission to go to the restroom but I followed him and he went to the gym instead to make a call. Unless he has another brother, that call was made to Fabio. He asked when he was coming back, told him he missed him... "
Missed him? That doesn't sound right.
" ...and to come back on time. " he finishes in a deep breath.
