Ari was barely standing up from exhaustion, and only then when Red saw how the fight had taken a toll on her faey warrior's body did she finally feel her fatigue creep in as well. The exhilaration of the power that surged through her body, with the aid of the spirit of fire, had now waned.
And in its wake was the reminder that her body wasn't at all that invincible as she had thought.
Red released her sword from her hand, and before the metal weapon could clang to the roofs, it burst into flames and disappeared from thin air as she spontaneously unsummoned it.
The halfling thanked the spirit of fire for their help and she slumped down beside her warrior that was watching the sky turn lighter.
"I never knew that the dream realm could give us this kind of scenery. The passing of the night to day." Ari mused.
Red looked out far where her warrior was gazing, and she replied, "It is beautiful, isn't it?"
