The servant whom Red knew by the name of Sheherazan guided her through the squeaky, sparkling clean hallways. They turned into a corner that led to a wider and more elegant hallway.
The ceilings were adorned with crystal chandeliers that glowed a soft tinge of orange. They were a peculiar chandelier Red never saw in any posh building before.
It was made of what looked like brass branches that spread like an inverted leafless tree. Tiny topaz stones adorned the tips of every branch that brightened the hallway.
Red noticed the walls were designed with a painted overgrowth of vines and roses. She would have remained oblivious, but she saw the roses bloom when she passed by and that was when she realized they were actually live roses!
"This is the Living Roses Hallway that is one of the many hallways connected to the great dining hall." Explained Sheherazan. "This is the one closest to your chamber, milady."
