Ari whispered at Red as they walked slowly towards a green labyrinth of tall hydrangea hedges. The flowers were of panicle shape, like an egg. The tip a pristine white that gradually turns to light peach and pink hues at the bottom of the stalks.
It was well after dusk, but the moon was yet to show.
The twin silver suns of the Faey Kingdom lingered and the Glass Citadel glimmered like thousands of mini rainbows. Light danced as the suns lazily set, the rays hitting the towers and walls of the castle in perfect angles.
The Midsummer Festival isn't all just about merrymaking, competitions dubbed as Midsummer Games are also held. And by being invited, Red and Ari were expected to participate in one or two events.
