Roman Thronus closed his eyes and Red observed how he just sat in silence. She was itching to ask him to just spill it out, but then again thought not to be too hasty. She was an official Faey Court now under Stella Marie's reign. She should start controlling her sudden outburst of impatience.
The old Faey Court opened his eyes, and soft winds blew over the them. The dead branches that remained had all their leaves gone now, and only the rickety sounds of dead twigs snapping with the winds increase in strength filled the gloomy weather.
"The late Queen Tiana and the Darkling were once lovers. He was darkness, and she was light. We all knew it was bound to be a disaster, but Tiana believed that she could change the Darkling's heart." Roman began.
"Wait, a minute," Red interrupted, "This isn't the story we were told about. Wasn't the Darkling just some random faey that turned dark with greed and hatred?"
