Red had been prepared for the night's occasion since the morning. She had worn a brown jacket over her favorite black spaghetti top, and paired it with a matching black ripped jean.
The attire wouldn't be complete without a pair of boots and Red was all set for the celebration.
She quickly put on a bit of lipstick and tied her strawberry curls in her signature messy bun, and then she heard the doorbell ring.
Grandmama scurried over to their tiny living room and greeted her guests, "Hi -- dear child you look dashing tonight!" she heard her grandmama say cheerfully.
"Hello Granny Cane, happy birthday!"
"Dorothy, you look really good with that sweater on! I brought some wine if you don't mind, happy birthday!"
Were those men grandmama had welcomed at the door? Red was quite intrigued.
