Chapter 21 - Lost

Arikyer was at loss as to how a simple spell had gone haywire because of a cat.

His affinity with air came in very useful during the fall and he didn't have much difficulty in landing safely. He did acquire some scratches here and there from tree branches but aside from that he was totally fine. Miraculously, the cat just appeared from the bushes, meowing nonstop, which quite perplexed him how the heavy feline could have survived the fall assuming he had arrived in the area mid-air like how Ari had.

He observed his surroundings looked a lot like a tropical forest in a deserted island. There was lush greens and the forest floor was damp. Perhaps it had rained the other night. The trees were gigantic natural skyscrapers with its canopy looking like a widespread umbrella, shielding the flora and fauna below from the relentless heat of the sun.

Oh dear. Red and Archie weren't around.

"Red! Archie! Where are you?!" he called out as he amplified his voice with magic.
