Sir Arthur led the warriors through what he deemed was the safest route around the dream realm. It was such a long time since he had been able to come and go as he pleased in the realm, and if it wasn't for Red being chosen as a queen candidate, he would have been a house pet for the rest of his life.
Her involvement in the Faey Queen Trials paved the path for Sir Arthur to regain his powers slowly by being surrounded with faeys. He had slowly been trying to collect enough energy from them as they did mundane activities, clinging on to the brothers who had a more refined energy than Red.
When Red awakened, she started off with her magical affinity being too wild that Sir Arthur didn't think it was safe for him to come near her. She could have easily fried his brain with just a single touch and so, he preferred to stick with the brothers.
