Kleister glanced quickly at Sir Arthur who had bobbed his head as if he was listening intently to the light faey's recount of his investigation.
Kleister Lakschmidt recalled the night he had been examining the jar under his magnifying glass. He had reached out for a pair of forceps and poked on to the crack that he saw inside the jar.
Just as the tip of his bronze tool touched the tiny cracked pit, it suddenly fractured and spread out all over the jar. Kleister jerked his hand away but was too late as the jar fell into hundreds of pieces on his table.
The light faey heaved a deep sigh and resigned to the fact that he wouldn't be able to do anything about it anymore.
He put his mini forceps down, together with his other tools on a separate push table, and he stared at the shards that had scattered on his work table. He picked up a glove and chanted a protection spell on it.
