It took Red about five seconds to process the words that came out from Queen Tiana's mouth. Slowly, the wheels began to turn and the gears in her head clicked as it all dawned on her.
Of course, the Faey Queen knew of it.
Red reached out to touch her twin dots where her brow arched and the Faey Queen's eyes lazily looked at her as if she was waiting for Red to say something.
The halfling was in a state of shock but quickly pulled herself together. It was only sensible that Queen Tiana knew of the mark.
No one dared to mention it as the faeys thought of birth marks as taboo. But the Faey Queen was powerful and it shouldn't be a surprise to her that Queen Tiana just casually talks about it.
She wasn't afraid.
She had bravely announced her death and made sure that an acceptable heir should take over by conducting the Faey Queen Trials. She was wise and knew best.
