"Yes, he said bronze bangles are believed to be special and it attracts good lucks" she explained happily, laughing clearly, to expose her incomplete incisors
"Interesting" Margie commented smiling mischievously and looked away
"That must be kind of uncle Charles" Dorcas stated in Charles's favor "The Rosary man also promised me a rosary" Shirley said as they proceeded for the balcony "Yeah, you told me. What about that?" Dorcas asked interestedly as they walked side by side
"The Rosary man. Who's that?" Margie asked inquisitively and impatiently for a reply
"That's Mr. Douglas" Dorcas replied in a low tone "Oh" Margie said as she sat down on one of the chairs on the balcony "Good evening Tom" Margie greeted as she sighted Tom step of the house
"Good evening Mag, how are you?" he asked smiling boldly "Good evening love" Dorcas greeted with attractive smiles "Good evening dear" he responded as they hugged
"How is your day going?" he inquired as they loosed hold of each other "My day is going fine, and Margie made my evening" she answered smiling at Margie and she smiled back
"That's good" he concluded as Shirley jumped on his laps "Easy baby" he advised as he placed her well on his laps
"As I was saying, I went to the Rosary man's house to get the rosary he promised me but he wasn't around" Shirley carped with a soft tender voice "Also, Chizzy said her mom told her Rosary man was arrested in the church this morning. Is that true?" she asked curiously as she stared at each of them for an answer
"Yes dear" Tom spoke up "Really!" Shirley exclaimed, with her eyes wide open radiating with so much astonishment "And that's all I know" Tom added smartly to avoid further critical questions as they laughed friskily
"I think I should be going" Margie quickly said as she stands up to leave
"Don't go, you haven't had anything" Dorcas pleaded with so much concern
"Aunty Mag daddy made a delicious dinner, please join us" Shirley revealed with a puffed up cheeks as she went close to Margie and dragged her hand to persuade her into staying
"Really, that's generous of you" Dorcas said happily patting his back
"You are welcome" he said smiling at her "At least have dinner with us" Tom added to convince Margie to stay "I'm sorry I really need to run; Charles must be waiting" she stated calmly as she touched Shirley's cheeks
"I will definitely mobilize your special bangles majestically" she promised with fabricated walking styles to show how the bangle will be delivered, smiling simultaneously
"Ok" Shirley accepted smiling boldly
"Thanks for the ride dear, my regards to Charles" Dorcas said as Margie stood below the entrance stairs
"Sure you are welcome, bye" she said waving at them and headed for her car
They watched her leave and waved their hands to bid a goodbye.
"Today was really hectic. Thanks baby for dinner" Dorcas stated thankfully with smiles as Shirley jumped on Tom's back. "You are welcome dear" he managed to say faintly as he bent to enable Shirley relax on his back
Dorcas made her way back to where she sat to carry her handbag. Just then she felt the pains of her heels again.
"Ouch!" she asserted and hurriedly sat down, frowning her face in pains "What's wrong?" Tom quickly asked captivatedly and drew closer to her to ascertain what the problem is. Almost simultaneously, Shirley popped up her head from Tom's left shoulder and asked intently "Mom are you ok?"
"Yes dear, my heel hurts" she answered in pains still frowning, as she pulled off her heels "Let me see?" Tom requested as he bent down to enable him see it, making Shirley to draw forward sharply
"Dad!" Shirley quickly shouted in fear of falling "Hold on tight dear" Tom cautioned as he stood erect to enable her encircle her hands round his neck, and bent down again
"Sorry mummy" Shirley said softly "Thanks dear" she muttered with pain in a low tone
"I think you should change them then" Tom advised as he grabbed her right ankle "Margie advised same. I will do that as soon as possible because this really hurts" Dorcas said gloomily as she caressed her legs
"Sorry dear" Tom commiserated softly "Come on Shirley, let's sprinkle the breeze of healing" Tom summoned as they hastily bent over, narrowed their cheeks, to tilt their lips forward and enable cool air pass through
"How do you feel now?" Tom asked as Shirley jumped down from his back "Better" Dorcas managed to say to please them "Indeed, the healing breeze does wonders" she forcefully added amidst pains and smiles
"Yes!" Tom and Shirley acclaimed and clapped their hands in the air "I wish its so" Dorcas muttered as she glared at them "You said?" Shirley questioned intently thinking she still needs the healing breeze as Tom looked at her curiously to know why she murmured "Nothing dear" she assured smiling compulsorily to guarantee that she is fine
"Good" Shirley declared and smiled back "Please the next breeze I want to feel is dinner, I'm famished" Dorcas alleged as they laughed out loudly "I expected that" Tom teased amidst laughter
"Alright, I will get your shoes and bag" he added as bent down and collected them. Shirley quickly jumped down from the seat on which she sat and reminded "Dad, remember we are the magnificent ushers"
"Oh!" Tom acclaimed with his eyes wide open "I almost forgot" he added and hit his head with his left hand regrettably "Thanks for that…"
"Magnificent ushers? What's that?" Dorcas interrupted curiously amidst intense confusion, as she stared at them to and fro "Relax baby and enjoy the royal welcome" Tom retorted with a bold smile that revealed his upper gums
"Ok" she accepted with smiles too awaiting the huge surprise.
"Mmmm" Tom quickly cleared his throat impishly as he put her heels on his left hand with which he held the handbag and hastily angled his elbow for Dorcas to hold on to
As she stood up and gripped her left hand to his arm, Shirley rushed to their front and stood still with fascinating smiles, holding her hands together at the center of her stomach. Tom manipulatively in tensed his baritone voice, as he ordered the majestic train loudly and it obey
"Shoulders high…Head upright…Chest out. Here comes the Queen of the Smith's empire"
"Here comes the Queen,
Here comes the Queen,
Here comes the queen of the Smith's empire" Shirley sang with her tiny voice as they majestically matched into the house
Dorcas held her mouth with her right out in order not to let out the laughter which she... Concealed. Concurrently, she feels honored. Although, the entrance is performed with so much unscrupulous skills, she feels like a queen indeed.
On getting to the sitting room, Shirley swiftly turned in order to create a path for then to pass through, standing at attention, with her joint hands still at the same position.
They slowly walked to the cushion. While, Tom quickly dropped the shoes and bag, held her hand in a bent position to help her have her seat
Instantly, Shirley sharply moved to her left hand side as Tom positioned himself on the right. They stamped their right foots concomitantly and chorused
"Hail, Queen Dorcas of the Smiths empire"
Dorcas couldn't hold back her laughter and they all joined her happily in the laughing session
"But, be sincere, how do you feel?" Tom asked interestedly when he finally controlled his laughter "Well, I feel…" Dorcas tried to express herself but lacked the right words to use "I feel privileged, loved and esteemed. You are the best" she concluded, pecked Shirley's forehead and hugged Tom passionately
"Yes! We did it" Shirley acclaimed as Tom and Dorcas separated from each other "Yeah" Tom supported smiling
"Mom, you needed to see the series of practices and efforts it took to perfect this" Shirley detailed with bold smirks "Really, I'm super proud of you dear" Dorcas asserted unpretentiously and hugged her passionately
"I wish I videoed this with my phone, I will brag about with it wherever I go" she added almost in tears "You are the best" she complimented as she hugged Tom, while Shirley rushed and held them
"We love you, mom" Shirley said in a low tone almost inaudible
"I love you too" Dorcas replied as Tom kissed her forehead
