Alyx POV (Sorry for the delay, I have a very short attention span and kept getting distracted while writing)
I got to meet Ace for the first time without any separation between us. He's a lot taller than he looked before I got close to him, and his eyes are a lot prettier up close like this. I touch my nose to his getting close to his face and inspect his features. He had faint freckles across the bridge of his nose and his cheeks. His deep and alluring blue eyes had a certain look to them that kept me captivated and staring. I snapped out of the trance like state I went into and pulled away from Ace my wings lightly flitting at my sides, "What do you wanna do first?!" I asked excitedly before a screech over the intercom came through making me wince and cover my ears, "Ace, Alyx. You will be getting dressed soon and taking your first steps outside to get you used to interaction. Ace don t try anything while you're out there, you'll have 3 guards with you at all times, do not try to run off or make conversation when unnecessary. Any questions before I continue?" Ace spoke up, something he did sparingly like his voice was a rare substance, "What do we do about our physical features when we're outside? Not like we can really retract them genius." I hadn't thought of that until he mentioned it and a puzzled look spread across my features while I tried to come up with ways before Dr. Lloyd spoke up again, "Ah, very good question I was just about to get to that. You see, I engineered these pills that will hide the physical features you have. There is a reversal pill in case of an emergency. Now, I have an assistant coming in to give you clothes that are fitting to casual wear out in public, as well as the pills. Feel free to ask any more questions." And with that he stopped speaking, turning off the microphone and ending the door letting someone inside who held two sets of clothes for me and Ace along with a bottle of pills for each of us. I hold onto Ace's arm leaning my head on his bicep, the man that Lloyd mentioned was his assistant handed the set of clothes to us. He stepped back still holding the bottles and nodded for us to get dressed so we did. I quickly pulled off the shirt with a cardboard-y feeling material and slipped on a short sleeved shirt putting on a sweater that was about 2 sizes too big over top of it and marveled at how soft it was. Ignoring that there were other people in the room with me, I pulled off my shorts and underwear before pulling on the new ones along with a pair of black shorts that I kind of thought were really cute but kinda short although I didn't question it. When I look up from buttoning my shorts I see Ace and the guy who brought clothes in for us redfin the face and nervously looking away from me while I'm speak with confusion in my voice, "What's the matter? Is something wrong?" They both shake their heads leaving me still confused about the situation, I shrugged it off though and the man handed me two bottles with stickers that read, Diazepam, take once daily. (A/N I don't take anxiety meds so idk if the amount of times its being taken is an accurate at thing. I'm assuming it varies on the person but the sticker is just to cover up what it actually is. Also this probably technically wouldn't work in real life but it'sk just a story lol.) I forgot we couldn't exactly go around with pills that were labeled as something that isn't a generic type medicine and such, so my confusion from the labels faded once I realized. Ace finished changing and gets his pills from the man glancing up at a camera in the room silently asking Dr. Lloyd a question. He responded through the intercom, "The bottle with an 'R' written on the bottom I the reversal pill. Like I mentioned, you should only take it if absolutely necessary." We nod and put away the reversal pills taking the one that hides everything. We get taken outside of the room and the underground building before stepping foot outside, I'm excited, but nervous, but mostly excited. I bounce up and down a little holding Ace's hand tight while the large automated door opens letting the sun shine down on our faces. "Woah..." I step out of the door with my arm in front of my face shielding my eyes from the sun a little, Ace follows standing next to me and we are escorted out of the facility in a black car.
