Maree suddenly woke up as she smelled the fragrance of purple hyacinth on the bedside table. She feels a lot better today although she still feels pain in some parts of her body that were just healing.
The hospital room is bright because of the light that is coming from the window. She looked around and realized that no one was beside her.
"Mom?" she mumbled and then she looked at the wall clock and realized it was already afternoon.
Maree lifted her body and tried to sit down then heaved a deep sigh. She was about to get out of bed when she heard the door open revealing her mom who's holding bags of food.
"Maree?" she uttered in surprise and immediately dashed towards her daughter. "You should be resting, baby!" She put down the food on the table and looked at Maree. "You are not fully healed yet."
Maree sighed as she was forced to lay on the bed again. "I'm fine, mom…" she assured her but obviously, Rowena won't believe that.
