Penelope Hundrel just finished healing herself from the wounds that she took from her last combat and she hasn't got any updates from Gabriel. Now she feels annoyed because the man is taking his time to finish his tasks.
She is now heading back to her office to continue her unfinished business. Now that she loses all her subjects, she needs to make some plans. She cannot start over again because it will take her years again so she must take the kids back.
"I cannot fail," she muttered as she looked outside the window. "After everything that I've sacrificed, I can't fail."
Penelope closed her eyes and rested her back on her swivel chair but then the face of her husband suddenly popped into her mind. She immediately opened her eyes and sighed.
"After all these years… why am I seeing your face?" she mumbled.
