Herro finally caught up with Kira and they were now walking side by side. They already turned off their flashlights because the place was bright again. It was not bright because the electricity was back but because of the large hole that brought sunlight towards the place.
Herro curiously asked Kira about the hole: "Was it already here before the Mutants made it their base?"
"Yes, it was. This hole right above us is where the airplanes, jet planes, helicopters, and space cars go in and out of this military base. It was their exit and entrance." Kira answered nonchalantly. It was because for her and the people of this age, it was the most common thing.
Herro was really amazed about Kira's response, but not because of the hole, but because of Space cars.
"There area space cars in this age?! Wow! So you can freely travel in space?" Herro asked.
"Yes? Because we developed the atmosphere on Mars and it is now habitable. We actually have a Mars colony out there. So we this space car to travel from earth to mars and it is also the vehicle used in Mars since the gravity there was a lot weaker compared to Earth, making it easier to float." Kira for the second time replied nonchalantly.
Herro was now shocked again for the second time and he excitedly exclaimed, "Mars colony?! There is already a mars Colony?!"
"Uggghhh, We can talk about it later, we already lost contact with them after this apocalypse happened." Kira got slightly irritated by Herro's questions.
Herro knew what to do and it was to shut his mouth and suppress his excitement and save it for the right time, the right time was later, tho.
The hole was a couple of times larger than the hole they used when they descended to this place. Herro noticed it a lot later, because his attention was focused on the topic of Space Cars and the Mars colony.
"This hole is really big! Just looking at it makes me shiver in fear and also in excitement!" Herro exclaimed as he commented on how large the hole really is. It could fit aircraft so its size is understandable.
Kira shook her head at Herro's reaction. She's doubting if he is just ignorant or just exaggerating everything, but he said that he did not come from this time, so it maybe is understandable. She was just annoyed, that's all.
"Stop admiring that hole there and help me in setting these traps," Kira said as she placed down her bag and pulled out the hydrogen bomb that he put inside the bag. Herro followed her lead and placed down the Electric net gun he had been carrying.
"Since Mutant's physique is strong, they didn't have to worry of being injured when they directly fall to the hole. We will use this opportunity to instantly kill two of them. Based on my previous scouting here, there are only four Mutants here." Kira explained her plan to Herro. Herro was listening attentively and full of concentration, so he wouldn't miss a single thing. Missing a single thing in her explanation may cost them their life, so he takes it seriously and he listens without asking questions.
Kira continued, explaining her plan: "I also noticed after being trapped in this city for so long, that the Mutants that chased you back then and the one you killed have different factions with the Mutants here." Herro was slightly startled by the fact he had learned. He didn't know that there were so many terrifying Mutants here.
Kira noticed Herro's reaction and she immediately said, "Don't worry Herro. The Mutants we will be fighting now are just three, we can kill two of them directly with our surprise trap and I can fight the last one. I am sure that I can kill it because I felt a lot stronger the time you let me absorb the Mutant you finished off."
Herro's worry has lightened and he believed that Kira can kill the last Mutant: Even though they could not directly kill two Mutants instantly, they're sure that they will be greatly weakened because of the injuries they will receive.
Kira stood and told Herro to bring the things needed to make the trap. Then she set the traps and directed Herro on how to place the pressure plates they will be using in the trap.
Kira plans to place the pressure plates in the crater created by the countless times the Mutants had descended into this place.
After placing the pressure plates, Kira asked Herro to attach the silver wire to the pressure plates. After that, Kira connected the silver wires to the Electric net guns that were placed on the different sides facing each other.
After setting the wires, Kira opened a part of the Electric net gun and tweaked it a little bit after connecting the wire from the pressure plates. They made sure to place more pressure plates to have more chance of triggering them.
Kira explained that the pressure plates will produce an electrical surge that will instantly activate the Electric net gun and make it shoot Three shots in succession, with an interval of one second.
After setting everything, Herro walks towards some rubble and hides behind it. Kira followed him and also hid behind that rabble. The both of them sat down and released a sigh of relief.
They look at each other and let out a soft chuckle. "I wish us good luck." Herro said and Kira replied, "May lady luck be on our side."
Kira is actually a warm person, but due to the recent life-changing events that happened in her life, she gradually turned cold. At first, she had her full guard up because she didn't know what intentions Herro had towards her, but after Herro risked her life saving her, she let her guard down for Herro.
"Stay alert Herro because anytime soon the Mutants will be here and that will be the right time for us to strike," Kira said as she placed her hands on the hilt of her daggers.
Herro didn't notice the daggers on her back and he said to himself, 'I see daggers are really the best weapon for her because it compliments her skill.'
"Don't worry, I am always ready," Herro said with full of confidence. Then a sudden thought entered his head and asked Kira about it.
"Why are you so sure that we can only two Mutants instantly? What about the third one?"
When Kira heard his question, she said "ohhhhh" with an expression of suddenly remembering something that she forgot. "I forgot to tell you that only the first two Mutants will jump at the same time. I am confused why, but the answer is either they're afraid that they will collide and kill each other or the underground will collapse if they jump down at the same time."
Herro nodded and said, "I see," before he turned silent and slightly nervous.
They waited for a long time, until they heard the wind whistling coming from the large hole.
