Chapter 206 - Siege

__________ POV Narration__________

Maha and Silva looked down at the Ancient Dragon. Both of them were thinking of ways to get rid of it.

But the beast acted faster. It spread its wings, blowing all of the dust away from it, then it breathed fire into the sky, aiming straight for the eastern dragon that the Zoldycks were riding on.

The wyrm quickly squirmed out of the way, managing to dodge the attack with half of its body, the other half was engulfed in flames and badly burned.

Maha and Silva didn't let that opportunity go to waste. Both of the assassins decided to jump towards the firebreather.

Silva immediately started charging two more explosive orbs.

Maha, however, had another plan. He enhanced his arm with most of the Nen in his body. Silva saw that and quickly let go of his plan. He rushed for Maha and threw him towards the beast using all of his strength.

Maha was like a spear, pointing his claws downward into the only spot he had any confidence in piercing, the eye.

The Ancient Dragon was once again taken by surprise, Maha managed to pierce his way into the dragon's eye, the force of his fall managed to smash the head of the beast into the ground, stopping its fiery breath in the process.

Maha managed to pierce through, but he wasn't about to stop there. He had managed to enter the dragon's head through that soft spot. He proceeded to shred its brain apart.

The intense heat inside the Dragon's head made even Maha tremble. It was worse than being in an active volcano. It was almost unbearable.

Silva watched with interest as the beast didn't get up from the ground. He watched as the light in its eyes disappeared and blood came out of its mouth, nose and remaining eye.

Then, after a few seconds, the bloody figure of Maha rushed out through the hole he had created in the eye. Silva landed on the ground and looked at his grand grandfather with concern.

Maha's body was filled with burns from top to bottom, the temperature inside the dragon's body would've been enough to kill him if he wasn't an enhancer.

Maha didn't seem to be bothered by the burns covering his skin. Only traces of his clothes were left covering his body. Barely enough to retain his decency.

"Onto the next one!" The old man shouted as both he and Silva rushed the last Ancient Dragon that Zeno was still beating into the ground.

The two of them jumped onto the flying aura dragon that Zeno was using as a platform.

"How are we going to take this one out?" Asked Silva while staring at the barely injured form of the Ancient Dragon.

"We could bombard it from this spot. Not give it any chance to do anything." Silva said as he looked at his elders.

"I can't repeat the last attack... I wouldn't be able to survive for a second time inside the body of that beast..." Maha said as he looked down at the suppressed beast, there was a worry in his mind that he wouldn't be able to help much against the remaining foe.

"You should go and help against the bigger horde. The two of us will take care of this one..." Silva said while Zeno just nodded.

Maha didn't remain to mince any words. He simply jumped back towards the walls, he was going to make it just in time for the horde to reach the walls.

But he was not in any state to protect the wall by himself, he would only serve as peace of mind for the rest of the family and the soldiers present.

The horde coming in seemed to swallow the sky in its wake, the sun was completely covered and the soldiers were immediately demoralized by the dark sky above them.

"Don't cower in fear of them! The only thing they can use against us is fear! Show them the courage that has brought the human race to this stage! Show them just why humans ruled over Lake Mobius for such a long time!" Such a speech would usually be delivered by none other than the leader of the army.

But Silva was currently preoccupied with 'other issues' so this heart-warming speech was delivered by none other than the cold and demented Kikyo.

The soldiers couldn't care less that the one leading them was a woman, she was one of the strongest Nen Users that humanity had. The same could be said for all of the Zoldyck family.

Unfortunately, nothing in Lake Mobius could've prepared the Nen Users for what was to come. The second Maha arrived on the wall, the beasts also arrived in range for their guns.

Shots were fired, countless explosions filled the sky as the artillery shells bounced off the skin of most of the beasts. But they weren't unscathed. Each shot made a small dent, in the end, the beasts started falling into the ocean.

One by one, dozens of beasts were taken down with concentrated fire... But that wasn't anywhere near enough. That was when they finally got in range of the Emission Nen users.

Blood filled the sky as Nen-Powered ammunition riddled the bodies of the beast with holes. It was a scene of carnage that would've made the horde retreat if they weren't completely braindead.

Hundreds of beasts were falling by the second. But that was scarcely enough to put a dent into the great numbers that formed the horde.

There were still many more rushing towards the city at great speeds. The sharpshooters all sprayed the horde with as much ammunition that they could.

Right near them was another person that was tasked with reloading their artillery weapon as soon as it ran out of bullets. The bombardment kept up for a long time, shredding apart many of the beasts.

But there were still many that got through the bullet storm, there were many that were approaching the walls of the city.

Therefore, the close-ranged fighters also started getting into their assigned positions. The regular gunners were also getting in range, and they started shooting as well. But their bullets dealt a lot less damage than the artillery ones.

Eventually, a beast was about to grab one of the men off the wall. It extended its claws and was about to rip the man to shreds... But then a loud clap was heard.

It was as if thousands of birds were chirping all at once. A lightning clad figure beheaded the flying beasts at speeds that even Maha found impressive.

It was none other than Killua. The young assassin was known as the most talented Zoldyck since Zigg, and he was also one of the fastest Nen Users alive.

The soldier that had just been saved was scared, but he still stood uninjured after the body of the bat-like beast was hitting the ground.

Killua appeared in front of the man, he faced the horde with a serious look on his face.

Two of the dragons were taken down already, and now Zeno and Silva were taking care of the only one left.

The only thing they needed to worry about right now was the massive horde still beating on their gates.

The fight was looking quite well in Killua's opinion.
