Wex was still confused. Rupert laughed. "I understand your confusion. I should probably explain where you are and what we're doing here. This is Training Facility TF-32E. This facility experiments with new technology and methods."
Wex nodded. "I see. But why did I wake up in that room?"
"You are part of Operation Greyhound. The goal of the operation was to create a squad of super soldiers. I should probably introduce you. Please follow me." Rupert lead Wex through narrow corridors and large warehouses until they stood in front of a wooden double door. Rupert opened the door for Wex.
Inside was a coffee table surrounded by three sofas and a desk. Sitting on the couches were four others who were wearing grey armor similar to Wex'.
"Oi, doc! Was that the last one? Can we begin?" A girl called out to Rupert. The girl was wearing the same armor as Wex but had red crosses on the helmet. and the shoulder pads. Hanging from the backpack was a submachine gun, with the end of a stick magazine sticking out of the backpack.
"Yes, that was the last one" Rupert answered and turned towards Wex. "Take a seat. This will take a while."
Wex nodded and sat down on one of the couches with a guy with a SMG. Rupert continued. "You have been chosen fo Operation Greyhound. The goal of this Operation is to create a super soldier squad. Unlike regular military squads you can spend your free time between battles however you like. We suggest you register with the Adventurer Division to get some experience."
Rupert looked around to make sure everyone understood him. "As for you personally, you have been selected from a special military training course. That's why your Stats are so high despite you being Level 1. Wex, would you be so nice and open the 'ID'?"
Even though Wex didn't know what the 'ID' was he tried saying it out loud. "ID" A small card appeared in front of Wex.
{ID
Name: Wex
Race: Dragonkin MK.2
Level: 1}
Rupert grabbed the card and showed it to everyone present. "As you can see, his race is special. During the process of becoming a super soldier we have modified your body a little to aid you in your roles during battle. For Wex we didn't have to do that much since his race is already fire proof." Rupert smiled at Wex.
"Everyone of you is a 'MK.2' version of your original races. To ensure your growth we have removed your memories and only left those that would let you come out of your chamber. It was necessary to reset your Level to 1. We found out that the XP and therefore your Levels are somehow connected with your memories."
The man next to Wex accessed his ID as well.
{ID
Name: Walker
Race: Elf MK.2
Level: 1}
Rupert finished talking about the technology and turned back to the squad. "Anyway, you will be the Greyhound Squad. As a squad you will work together to survive and complete your mission. You will work together for a long time so you should get to know each other."
The man next to Wex stood up. "My name is Walker. Apparently I am an Elf."
Sitting on the other side of the coffee table were two women. The one that spoke earlier stood up. "My name is Remy. I'm a Human."
The woman next to her stood up. "I'm Aria. I am a Demon." Her armor was much lighter than the others and seemed to have openings on the back and was carrying a bow but no arrows.
The last one was a large man sitting on the couch facing the desk. When he stood up he had to crouch to avoid hitting his head on the ceiling. "I am Buck. I am a Giant." His armor seemed to be much heavier and the backpack was much heavier. His weapon was a very big belt-fed machine gun.
Wex stood up. "I'm Wex. You already know the rest."
Rupert smiled. "Now that everyone got to know each other let's go over the plan for the next few weeks. We have planned to have you registered in the Adventurer Division for your first combat experience."

The squad was lead outside the complex. They stepped through a heavy metal gate wit TF-32E painted on it. The complex was underground and had no windows so this was the first time they got to see the outside since they awakened.
Aria has quickly taken a liking towards Buck and was now sitting on his shoulder while Walker was constantly wary of the rest and Remy tried to spark a conversation with Wex.
They were lead through a small city to the biggest building there. The building looked like a normal high-rise building. If there weren't those Anti-Air Cannons on the roof. After observing them for a short time Wex noticed those guns were the same as the one Buck was carrying.
The insides looked much like the complex but not as sterile and much more relaxing. They were greeted by a male receptionist in a black suit. "Welcome to the Adventurer Division. We have been informed in advance that you will be coming here, Squad Greyhound. Your Adventurer Chips are ready." He put a tray with five grey chips on the counter.
"These are your Adventurer Chips. They display your Adventurer Clearance Level, or ACL for short." They picked up their chips. Upon contact, each chip displayed [ACL: 1].
"Every six months we hold an evaluation where you get a special mission that will determine if your ACL will rise or drop depending on your results. With a higher ACL you have access to higher floors in the Adventurer Division. On higher floors you will get more challenging missions and maybe even a private mission. The missions are displayed on the board at the entrance. Just tap on the mission you want to do."
Wex thanked the receptionist and the squad went over to the board.
