As the words "re-marry" left Gu Qichen's lips, Xia Yangyang was immediately taken aback.
She initially thought she was hearing things.
But Gu Qichen's expression was serious, not at all like he was joking.
Before Xia Yangyang could react, Gu Qichen's phone rang.
He took his phone out of his pocket, glanced at it, then turned to the window to answer the call.
Just as Gu Qichen flipped open his phone, Xia Yangyang saw the name on it- Zijun, Xi Zijun.
Xia Yangyang's eyes quickly dimmed.
Gu Qichen briefly spoke a few words, merely grunting twice before hanging up.
Gu Qichen turned back to her.
He spoke to Xia Yangyang, "Consider my proposal."
Xia Yangyang laughed, lifting her head, "Re-marry? What about Xi Zijun? Weren't you going to get engaged to her today?"
"I will cancel the engagement. I'll take care of everything else."
Xia Yangyang's laughter was tinged with irony, "You can cancel the engagement at any time, but can feelings also be so capricious?"
