A month later
A City
In the intensive care unit of the military hospital, Mother Qin sat by the bedside, watching her son deep in sleep. Tears uncontrollably welled up in her eyes.
Beside her, Father Qin, who was standing next to her, frowned and said sympathetically, "Ah Mu will definitely wake up today. He's fine now. You should be happy. Why are you crying instead?"
"We have no idea when Ah Mu will wake up. He won't recover in three to five months. How can I be happy about it?"
Mother Qin looked up at her husband with disdain, and was about to say something when she heard her son suddenly mutter "Ranran!" in his sleep.
Startled, she quickly held her son's hand and softly called him, "Ah Mu, Ah Mu."
