Once she fell asleep, it was already evening.
Wen Ran had planned to visit her brother, but the nap had disrupted her plans. In the evening, she made food for Mo Xiuchen again. After eating, the two cuddled together on the sofa, watching some idle program.
In the middle of it all, Mo Xiuchen's phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID, saw it was coming from Luo Haofeng, and turned his phone on silent before throwing it aside. He continued to hold Wen Ran, feeding her snacks.
Wen Ran stared at the phone for a few seconds and asked him a tad uneasily, "Xiuchen, wouldn't Luo Haofeng be calling for something important? With your presence in G City, everybody else must know too. Isn't it unkind of you not to show up?"
He was new to his position, and there were certainly some who were displeased with him at the company. Now, he had tasked Luo Haofeng and Qin Mu with dining with government officials. If anyone got wind of this and held it against him, it could be rather unfavorable.
