Chapter 55 - I feel like I'm in a fairy tale

Passing through a dazzling light. Leah and Jack held hands, their bodies spinning like gangs, slammed into the empty air that made their body weight neglected.

It was not bad.

When their feet rested on the ground, the same footing as in the human world. Green plant with tall trees.

What was different is?

Two tall, hairy, and creepy figures. The two men had spearheads in their hands against Leah and Jack's heads.

Leah is equipped to draw her sword. She was a tough and nimble woman now.

Jack shook his head until Leah put the sword back in the sheath hanging from her waist.

Jack took something out of his shirt, a pendant engraved with dazzling copper.

"Members of the white kingdom, I'm in charge of finding a swordsman and come back today." Said Jack showing the object in his hand.

The two big tall creatures with sinister faces brought out their spears.

The two of them leaned politely. "Pardon our wariness, sir."

"does not matter!" Replied Jack. "Call the royal guards, I had returned. I need an impressive welcome, I have completed my mission." Asked Jack with an annoying expression on his face. He turned to Leah, who looked amazed.

"Yes sir! Please enter the castle first, we will make food and you can rest for a while here."

Leah knit her brows. Who was this Jack? The two big men sent Jack and Leah.

In front of there, She saw a tall construction, Leah had seen a castle in a fairy tale, and now She could see directly the construction with black stone towering with large statues.

The building was all black with a shrouding smog. Even so, Leah could still clearly see the shape.

Steady building. She praised inwardly, she was waiting for what the castle interior decoration would look like.

"Tell the border guard soldiers, I only eat royal food! "Said Jack confirmed the two big creatures, before leaving them who were greeted by two female maids.

"Welcome young lady and sir Jack, Please comfort us, we will prepare the bath, suits, and food."

Woah! Leah was taken aback. Does Jack have great power in this world? They are very well encouraged.

Leah looked around the room. The room was large and tall, at the front, there was a long table with lots of chairs. She was stunned for a moment until Jack invited her to enter.

"Let's go in and sit down, we'll wait for the food, after that we take a bath, rest until the border guard general meets us, then we can leave this old castle." Looks like Jack doesn't like this place. "The border castle is a little bad. But we won't be here long!" said Jack then.

For Leah, this wasn't bad. She loves this place.

"I can't think of how the queen would feel when she had to be expelled and live in an old castle," Jack whispered in a barely audible voice.

Queen, is that my mother? Leah's chest pounded.

"We're not discussing the queen here," Jack whispered, then he pulled a smile to see the servers arriving, one by one the food came down to the table.

"Um, servant. This is food with hygienic ingredients, right? You don't mix up the food stock for the beasts?" Jack asked to make sure.

The servants nodded, answering Jack's snide question.

"Good, because my stomach is sensitive!" Jack replied, waving his hand. "I'm also not used to eating with the server staring at me, can you just leave the two of us alone?" Royal members are known to be arrogant and cynical.

The waiters left Jack and Leah, they could eat together in a comfortable atmosphere. Jack knew that Leah was still a foreigner here, he made the atmosphere as comfortable as possible.

"Leah, you might be surprised after this. They will accompany you to take a bath, they will bathe you in a big pool. They will dress you in clothes that are a little out of date, but... That's this world, you have to fit in, I'll be downstairs if you need help. The female guest will take the upstairs room. "Jack explained after he wiped his lips.

"We have plenty of time here, you can rest comfortably even though there are always maids following you." Jack knew that Leah would be annoyed.

Leah shook her head and smiled. "Isn't this cool! I feel like I'm in a fairy tale, being a princess." Leah's voice was heard happily.

"Huh! Are you sure, after living in a modern and sophisticated world, I am no longer interested in the moderate, conservative royal lifestyle? But you are the opposite! And one more thing, You are the princess! It's just a matter of time. " Jack glanced around, after making sure no one was watching them, he belched.

"Ah, in which kingdom can burp like this!" Jack hissed with his annoying face. Leah just laughed.

Jack prepared to leave his chair but he remembered one thing. "Oh yes, one more Leah. You must practice swords with the frontier swordsmen. They will test you."

Leah almost choked at what Jack had said. "Testing, how come, Jack, I'm a beginner. How can I fight against the frontier sword?" Leah looked worried.

"Leah, use your wits, you have a brain that is more advanced than them." Whispered Jack while winking. He was too confident.

"Ah! He stressed me out!" Leah's hiss pierced the meat on her plate. She chewed greedily. "Am I princess, am I a swordsman. I'm just a convenience store clerk! " She grumbled to herself.

Pauline whispers something in her son's ear. "Chase her, even to the end of the world. You .. must find your soulmate!"

Gasp!

Something entered Max's chest, making his eyes round.

"Are you ready, Madame?" Asked the witch woman.

Pauline nodded before she kissed her son's forehead. "I'll look for you until we can meet again." She whispered.

Before she saw Max's body go into the whirlwind, her tears were dripping. She raised her son well but she had to let Max go this time.

"Madame, your son was the third person I sent this Sunday. I will take time off because my strength is exhausted." Whispered the old witch after cupping her hands together, closing the portal sealed again.

"Sister .." Mariah came into Max's room but did not see her nephew who had been lying in bed for days.

"Did you let Max go, alone?" Mariah asked in disbelief.

With a sad face, Pauline nodded.

In contrast to the witch's face that looked pale and tired. "Madame, who is this beautiful girl?" Asked the witch.

"May I asking to give me a little energy, my face is loose now."

Mariah barked, showing her fangs at the creepy old witch.

Pauline didn't answer, she was too sad losing her son. She leaves Max's room.

Mariah bitting hard on the witch's wrist. "I hate your ugly face !!! "Mariah shouted.
