*Noah's POV*
My father went on a rampage and teleported us out. In my arms was Flora and in front of me was Mr. Dixon, Ms. Jax they all were making sure we were OK but I asked.
"When is my father going to come?"
Mr. Dixon looked at me and carefully said "I don't know kid."
Then some red, black, white, and gold aura surrounded me and I felt a sudden rush of power. This felt similar to the power I had before but stronger. Everyone looked at me in the most worrying way possible and the adults started to feel sad all of a sudden. I started running ideas through my head until Mr. Dixon explained that my father has passed a torch.
My body couldn't move after hearing that I began to feel lonely and I wanted to go to my mom immediately. Mr. Dixon teleported us to my house and my mother was standing up biting her nails. I run to her with Flora in my arms and hug her.
She looks around and says "Where is Zero Jax?"
Both Jax and Dixon look at her with mournful faces and my mother starts to shake and cry. I try to hold her and she was just having a meltdown. I stayed with her the entire night and my father's friends stayed the night.
Sometime after she stopped crying she told me.
"It will be OK I will protect you both."
Those words made the moment evermore sad and I cry into my mother's arms. We had mourned the entire night long.
*Next Day*
The morning didn't feel right it was missing something, more like someone the entire morning felt like death was living with us and we had to face it for what felt like forever.
*Two Weeks Later*
*Grand Chaser Academy*
I was back in school and I hadn't told anyone what happened but the headmaster knows because Mr. Dixon filled him in on some of the details as to what happened that day. Karr was one of the types of friends I could tell anything to but this was different because of the death part. However today I wanted to push the horrible memory aside and focus on finishing this school year.
In combat class, I had missed a lot from staying out for one week so I asked my teacher what we did last week. He told me to just focus on my elemental strength and I abolished to do so. But today we were doing elemental combat. Since my element was ice I was at disadvantage to fire element students.
As usual, we picked a number and went to an arena to face our opponents. This time I was fighting Kato and he seemed different from last time. By that I mean he looked different, he had blue hair rather than his green and he wore a grey robe with black pants.
"So your back I see," Kato commented
"Yeah, some things happened and caused complications," I added
"Matches may now begin." The teacher yelled.
"How complicated?" Said, Kato
"Can't talk about it complicated."
He nods and begins to fight.
I put my hand out to form an ice crystal and the ice turned black like when I had my power I was confused as to why this happened. I then remembered what Mr. Dixon said my father passed a torch but how did I get this power back. The thoughts flooded my head but this was also so sudden as well.
I tried an old ability called black ice again it worked. Kato uses his barrier and turns the ground to a hard stone for an extra effort. I knew that if I got within 6 feet close to him the stone would pop from the ground and hit me. So I attempted to activate my left eye and it worked I had also activated my right. Kato squinted his eyes and made a triangle with his hands.
Kato said "Whirlwind strike"
The stones lifted and started spinning all around the arena this kept me moving. I activated my armor and when I did the armor looked different. The chest piece was a smokey dark purple with points on the top of the shoulders. The leg pieces were surrounding the leg made of metal. The arms were chained and wrapped around my fingers.
The air in the combat room blew against the wall and little purple bolts of electricity came from my armor. Then I deactivated it, Kato's stones blew away and I swiftly made my way to him, and as I do that I activate my training sword and he does too.
Both of our swords collide with each other consecutively he swings right past my face and I grab the end of his sword and elbow him in the face. He backs up and surrounded his blade with metal minerals found in the stone.
He pursues me and vanishes but little does he know I can see him. I look him dead in the eyes and I swing and catch him off guard and he was sent flying in the other direction.
(Kato: "How? did he... It's his eye maybe if I can make a smoke screen I can lower his field of vision.")
Kato stands up and individually connects his fingers and the floor turned into dust it felt really soft. From where I stood he lifted his hands and dropped them and the dust was everywhere. My right eye lost sight of him and then I was hit in the face with a stone. Blood came from my forehead the attacks hurt a lot so I activated my armor.
I used my left eye and opened a rift and got rid of the dust. I made the ground wet with melted ice. The ground was soaking wet. I copied Kato's defense from our first fight. This will shoot up spikes of ice within 6 feet of contact.
Kato seemed to run out of ideas and put his hands together and some green energy started to surge from him. I didn't want to lose so I put my hands together and the ground started shaking and energy burst from me aiming towards the sky. The teacher was watching our match and put a barrier around us to protect the surrounding area.
I was done charging and so was Kato I put my hand up and a move called Eternal Strike. This move generally is supposed to summon a power source for me to blast towards my enemy. Kato's energy looks to be surrounding him and he sends it towards me and I send mines to him. Both energies collide and make a blueish color the orb started to emit lightning and then...
