Chapter 3 - The Eyes

*1 Month later*

Things have been normal since last month and I haven't told my parents about what I saw either and I don't plan on it either. I am now ungrounded and I can now do things with my friends.

I am supposed to turn eleven Tomorrow and I don't feel up to it or feel excited. But school started again and I am allowed to go again. In class, we were learning about sword chasing.

This school is supposed to teach us first-hand things to know about the chase until we are old enough to become sword chasers.

Later at lunch Karr and I were eating and planning on going to the geyser with some of our classmates. We discussed what the plan was when we went to the geysers.

Ace walked past me and whispered "Earthquake." As a reaction I jabbed him in the gut, this happened out of nowhere. This wasn't me in control like someone forced me to do this.

Ace then knocked me to the floor and Karr pushed him and said "What was that for."

Ace proceeded to push Karr as well and said "Watch where you're going."

I was easily angered and my eye starts to see things again and Ace backs off once he glances at my left eye. I get up and my eye stops seeing things. And I help Karr up.

"Why did he back off."

"I think I know why," I muttered

Later Karr, I, and our other classmates were at the geyser and we just ran around throwing water at each other. And for the next hour, we ate and continued playing.

But when I got home I began to practice using my left eye.

During my first attempt, I tried to put pressure on my eye and that did nothing. On the second attempt, I tried to open it as wide as I could.

After an hour of trying and trying I have made no progress. But then I remembered something every time my eye was being used I was angry at someone or angry period. My father walks in and he looks at me sitting on my bed and he says.

"What were you trying to do Noah and don't lie about it."

I began to deny what he was saying, and he got mad at me and started yelling at me. This triggered something because when he finished yelling I could see those things on the right side of my eye. My dad notices and says.

"Why didn't you say anything Noah why?"

I say "Because I wanted to learn on my own that's why."

He sits on my bed and says.

"Noah let me tell you a magic story."

"Why are you telling me this dad?"

"I'm saying don't rely on anger for power Noah I trust you will listen."

I nod and he walks out of my room.

The following morning I woke up from a dream which was more like a nightmare but I was standing in a field of grass and darkness was getting closer to me ever so slightly.

I woke up from a disturbance and this dream made me wonder where did I get power like this from. I hear a bang on the door and I went to go see who it was. It was Karr and Aubrey.

I open the door and say "Hello guys."

They both shout "HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOAH!"

This caused me to jump from surprise and Aubrey hugs me, I then put my hands on her back in a grippy way and it kind of hurt her.

"Ouch."

"Oh, I'm sorry Aubrey."

"Uh it's fine I forgot I make you nervous."

I put my hand on my face and they both laugh. I say

"I don't plan on doing much today maybe go and train with my sword."

They look at each other and look at me then Karr says

"Really, you don't seem enthusiastic about your birthday this year."

I say "I want to tell you guys something."

I proceed to tell them all whats happened to me over the break and it left them shocked. I told them about my eyes but only one will turn and the other doesn't. They both tried to study my eye over the course of 2 weeks and only one occurrence seemed to happen. I guess anger was the thing that triggered my eye.

One day when I woke up my eye was active and I could see something that was not familiar it seemed my right eye is seeing things as well. All I see is reversed lighting as if It could outline living objects such as plants animals and people too. This took some energy out of me and I began to fade away and blackout.
