"Daichi's idea was very unorthodox. He was very skillful with the earth element and was the only one who taught about using divine power to get other's abilities to display. The first one on who he tested his idea was his son. The sage took some of the child's blood and worked with it. Using his divine powers he solidified the blood into the form of a small round stone. After that, he put the stone close to the boy's body and noticed something. When the stone was in direct contact with the child's skin it began to absorb a small number of divine particles into itself. This phenomenon occurred because, as I said earlier, the stone was created out of the boy's blood and already had some of his divine particles in it so it's logical they attracted each other. After Daichi witnessed this specific relationship he came up with a new theory. What is going to happen if he pours his raw elemental power into the bloody stone? Maybe if the amount of power the stone possesses is great enough and the nature of the element is the same it will attract the divine particles in the boy's blood so strongly that after taking the stone away from the skin the particles located inside the body will try to follow the greater energy and break out of the veins? With this particular possibility in his mind, he started to conduct the experiment." - says Hiroshi sensei.
"At first, he ordered his son to carry the bloody stone close to the skin for over a month so that the child's mind will be tricked into treating the stone as a part of his organism. He then moved to the next part of the process - he took the boy to his laboratory and poured all of the divine power he could inside the stone. Daichi was a part of the family leading the Earth Wardens clan, he was an aristocrat, and so his power was very potent. After doing that he proceeded to slowly move the bloody stone, the child was keeping close to his skin throughout all this time, away from him. Guess what happened next."
"Uhmm, it probably all worked out as planned because we can still use divine powers, right sensei?" - says a fellow disciple with a raised hand.
"Well aren't you a bright student. Yes, it all worked out as Daichi expected. When he started to move the bloody stone away from his son's body a strong attraction force appeared. He wasn't surprised as that was the expected reaction so he kept pulling the stone away little by little until the outbreak happened. The ground around the boy burst, piercing the walls and destroying Daichi's lab."
"And that's how the Awakening process was invented. Now we all have to go through it if we want to use our divine powers. I know this is already higher-level divine science and it's not necessary for you to know all the details but what I want you to remember is that we need the bloody stone and someone strong with an affinity towards the same element you can control to pour his divine power into the stone so that the Awakening process can work."
"What I also what to mention is that during our dojo's trial, you are reaching the end of right now, we wanted to not only test your mental strength and devotion but also to prepare your bodies. The Awakening process puts a lot of strain on your organism and only with a strong and sturdy body u can get through it without any major injuries such as internal bleeding. That's why a big part of our dojo's trial is a challenging and hard physical training but I suppose you know all of this already." - says sensei while walking around the classroom.
"Hmm, I think this is a proper summary of today's lesson. We are going to end it here. If anyone has some kind of question, you can come and ask me, I will try my best to resolve any kind of doubts u could possibly have." - says Hiroshi sensei with a welcoming hand gesture.
"Thank you for your attention and see you all in a week on the exam. Work hard and believe in yourselves. That's all, you can go." - says Hiroshi sensei as he sits back at his desk.
"Thank you, sensei!" - we all voice our gratitude for sensei's informative lecture.
Everyone stands up and starts to leave the classroom. I guess no one had any questions about today's lesson.
"Hey, Sunai, Minato, we have some free time right now so let's go relax a bit before Hiromichi sensei's martial arts class will begin." - says Kai as he grabs both of us by the neck in a friendly gesture.
"Sure, we can do that but first let me ask Hiroshi sensei about something. Can you guys wait for me a bit? - I ask them.
"Ahh, sometimes I forgot how much of a nerd you are Sunai." - says Minato with a provocative smile.
"Sure sure, get out of here you knucklehead. I'm going to join you two in a second." - I say to them while waving my hand dismissively.
I then make my way to sensei's desk.
"Hiroshi sensei, can I ask you a question regarding today's lesson?"
"Of course Sunai, what is it that you want me to tell you?" - says Hiroshi sensei with a kind smile...
