Koa tapped beneath her chin, and she looked up at him. "You're far from average, Keira. You gonna tell me what's up now?"
Besides Rhea and Sora, Koa was probably closer to her, and she told him everything. They understood each other the most in the family.
They both felt inadequate, even if Koa never believed Keira's words. But whenever she spoke freely about what was really eating at her, Koa never judged her or said anything just to make her feel better.
He was blunt, truthful, to the point.
With a sigh, Keira tugged the hairband out of her hair, brushing her fingers through her locks until she was happy with the curtain she always put between herself and the world. "Just some new guy."
Koa's eyes glimmered amber, and his knuckles clicked as he rubbed his hands together. "What's he done? I can have a word with him if you like?"
