Kodi's attention moved to those behind the famous Chase Hunt and to the quick movement of a brick wall of pure muscle rushed towards him. Kodi blocked the first strike, the second and third, matching his opponents skills, the skills of a well-renowned warrior, until he managed to hit Kodi's ribs with a not-so-delightful use of his claws.
The air was knocked out of Kodi, and he felt a burning sensation spread across his side. Every inhale was sharp and difficult. He stumbled but managed to regain his footing just in time to block another hit aimed at his head.
Well shit, Kodi didn't expect to be impaled by his future brother in law. Koa was ruthless and merciless. He liked him more for it. The raw ferocity Koa displayed was almost admirable, if it wasn't so damn inconvenient at the moment. It was almost… rogue-like behaviour. The way he fought… Koa had been adopted so maybe he was a rogue.
