The black wolf, with a white streak running down the side of her body, sprinted through the woods, jumping over bushes and whipping in and out of trees skilfully. The battered wolf could barely keep up, stumbling and almost hitting trees, trying to keep the wolf ahead in its sight.
Once Ember broke through the shrubbery and the last of the forest, she didn't hold back. There were no obstructions in the way now, and the wolf chasing her was yet to emerge from the forest.
Keira's attention flicked to the timer above them and the hovering drone that had surprisingly kept up with them, most likely recording their entire fight and her wolf fleeing with two golden eggs instead of one. There was no need for it, but Keira wanted to teach the other girl a lesson.
